The difference between marker file mileages and Sim mileages is not a bug per se, but has to do with the projection system used by Kuju to represent a globe on a flat plane. The one they selected doesn't maintain angles and distances very well over large areas. DEM files use a different projection, ...

Ian, No, I don't think so. If you didn't put a topic in the email I may have deleted it as spam by accident  Perhaps send me a straight email first so that it will pass my spam filter, once you're through there you should be able to follow it up with an email with attachments. I'm looking forw...

I'm doing a GER Y14 (J15) which is one of those ubiquitous 0-6-0 tender engines you mention.

The B12 is a more distant prospect.

But right now I'm in track laying mode on the East Suffolk.

(And tearing it up, and relaying it again, etc. etc. - you know the drill  )

I don't know the route, but from the looks of this translation it is originally in Dutch?

If anyone has problems understanding it, let me know and I can translate.

Nah, life's too short

There are CD's available of aerial photographs, by County, I believe. I don't know if the resolution and image size of those is better. I think they are quite expensive, though.

Not wishing to upset anyone, but the use of default cabs in many cases is just laziness on the part of the model builders. Fair enough if you use a similar cab to the original, but there are tank engines with Scotsman cabs or UK DMUs with Japanese characters on the cab windows etc. Yup, I'm lazy al...

Just a quick update on progress, it's all track laying at the moment. The section from Wickham Market via Saxmundham to Darsham is complete, as is the Framlingham Branch. In the other direction I've worked my way down towards Woodbridge but haven't started on the station layout just yet. Over the ne...
