Right - it's digital zoom, so there goes your focusing... I guess its a fixed lens, in which case you have to turn it to macro mode, landscape mode and "people" mode to focus, right? Are you sure it was a brakevan in the sort of CAR sense, and not just that generator van that ews have? The generator van is a coach in ews livery, which (surprisingly) contains a generator!

It would be very, very, very rare to see a brakevan on a VSOE!
