Looks like it was a good event, albeit a little busy judging from the pics... :D I'm still recovering from the superb WSR gala last weekend, what an event. Was also very quiet on the saturday, front coach if not front window on every trip I went on :D Nice pics from everyone! Also good to see 37190 ...

Oh yes, and another quick point - don't upload absolutley every photo on your camera. When anyone goes out to take some phots, some come out cr*p. Be they blurred, irrelevant taken too late etc, we all manage it, even the pros. What I do, is store all my photos in a folder, pick my favorites and put...

Right - it's digital zoom, so there goes your focusing... I guess its a fixed lens, in which case you have to turn it to macro mode, landscape mode and "people" mode to focus, right? If so, make sure you're not leaving it in macro mode, which is what the photos look like! To be honest, I wouldn't us...

Are you sure it was a brakevan in the sort of CAR sense, and not just that generator van that ews have? The generator van is a coach in ews livery, which (surprisingly) contains a generator!

It would be very, very, very rare to see a brakevan on a VSOE!

:o 197 is an absolute MONSTER when you get a driver who aint scared of the power handle!!!

Apart from 674, I'd say it's probably the best tractor I've ever had!

Brilliant pics, what camera do you use ? Like Matt, I'm with Fuji too, using the S7000 - 12mp mode for lineside shots, where cropping may be needed, and 6mp mode for yards/stations etc :) Looks like the weather down here was a bit nicer than up your way, matt! Typical railtour weather... Thanks for...

"The Eden Limited"

Some pictures of 6024 and 5029 working "The Eden Limited" excursion to Par. These were the first steam locos I've been out for so far this year! Appologies for the disgusting amount of station and yard shots this time... I did have a nice scenic shot planned, but managed to pass the train as I was t...

I saw one at the Boston MRS. We had it pulling 20 Hornby and Lima 100 ton Tanker wagons round our Test Track. Did it without slipping. No other locomotive any member had up could do it. Bet my western could ;) 20 wagons in all, or 20 hornby wagons and some limas ones as well? If it's the latter, th...

Welsh tugs 'n' tractors

Just realised I didn't put a note up about this... Loads of pics on my site, http://www.railpics.tk , from a recent visit to wales (Newport area and chasing 37s in the valleys). Too many to post here, but here's a few favorites.... Not sure if these thumbnails will work, as fotopic has reorganised i...
