Hahaha! Well at least it didn't happen on the Mid-Hants, a preserved loco would have to recover a failed EWS one...embaressment galore me thinks!

Or do what i did and slowly learn how to build ur own machine and buy the best and cheapest parts u want. U might not think it but its cheaper to buy components seperately and build ur own PC than it is to buy that £999 top range one from PC World, or out of the newspaper. Where'd your get the par...

I meant the recessed panel, I would have a picture, but I don't know what happened to it, angelfire must have blocked it. Anyway, go to http://www.angelfire.com/falcon/jdstudios/47676.jpg to see it. The red is only the front, you can tell by photos of similar locos. JDjonny _________________________...

http://www.class47gallery.co.uk/martinbray/photos/47676-peterborough-300793.jpg the red just goes to the edges of the bufferbeam, you're right it is hard to tell. The stuff on the sides is just grime (the same stuff is on the bogies and I don't think they were red!) I gave mine yellow axleboxes as ...

good to hear it's still in RES...I saw the trainsim model earlier, looks very good. Like the story of the roadkill 47-but that's how lima now supply them!

ok...problems with the 08.... Right, unscrew the bottom plate and unclip the brake rodding so the wheels come out. Now, clean the contacts, (I had to scrape mine with a screwdriver the grime was that thick) That should stop it running bad. Bachmann actually posted a thing on their site about that. 4...

I LOVE lima at the moment!!!! I got myself " NORTHHAMPTONSIRE " out of my pocketmoney, and it runs prety smooth for a lima, better than my 37 " St. Blaise Church " anyway. I do have a heljan 47, but recently, it became a poor runner, and makes grinding sounds on sections of track, which no others do...

its so sad... :( But, as long as they don't touch 47778 or 47306, it's ok. They'll leave them two alone if they know whats good for them...(Jdjonny starts to draw up plans of revenge in advance!) Anyone know anything about those two? I have seen 47306 recently, but what happened to 47778? They're my...

you lot should take a trip to france. We went in the summer. Me my brother and my dad were watching a mianline DMU start up at Vannes station. The conductor came out, led us across a working depot, and let us up in the train. We went to the cab with him, where the driver greeted us, and pulled the t...

uhoh...somebody mentioned model class 47's! :D I have got a heljan for my 14th birthday. at first the detail looked a little...well, scary, but I managed to fit it all in the end. It runs brilliantly and looks great, BUT the body is about a scale foot too wide, a major downfall. I also have 2 hornby...
