Exporting Couplings
I have got some couplings set up on my 3Dcrafter model as seperate groups named in the right way. But how do I export them ?? Do I export them with the wagon model or do i export them as seperate objects - if so how ?

Re: Is anyone going to make this?
As someone building their first route and now getting into signalling and getting lost what I would like to have is a little marker that I could attach to a track section / signal link 0 that would tell me the count in that block/section. I also suspect that it would be useful tool for scenarios tha...

Re: Don't misunderstand me here, but...
I am sorry but I have to disagree with the general tenor of this thread. Not enough freeware ? Come on there is loads, more than enough to keep playing the game for sometime. Perhaps not the huge variety that there was in MSTS but an awful lot of that is now looking pretty dated. Why is that those o...

Re: Freeware
Having started building a line myself ( so slow, so slow ) and having built in MSTS before I find the thing that is holding me back is simply the learning curve to build assets. For years I have been building flightsim assets and the processes were similar when moving to TS modeller. By and large th...

Re: Stuttering and other issues (and my first thoughts)
To a certain extent the posts about the "improvement" in FSX from Flight Sim 2004 make my point. As a developer of amatuer add ins for flight sim the move to FSx was a retrograde step. The entire change in the way that scenery and airfields was handled produced a dramatic decline in add ons with the...

Re: Stuttering and other issues (and my first thoughts)
How long a Sim has been out really isn't the issue I think. I am still developing content for and flying Flight Sim 2004. What keeps that package alive is it's ability for amatuer and semi proffesional content development. Constantly refreshing the game content ( via DLC) is a very important feature...

Re: JT Announcement of New Addon
ohhhh ! exciting ! I love really "ordinary" DMU's.
Now all I need to do is to build the Doncaster to Sheffield line and then I can suffer all my usual indignities of trying to stuff long legs into a gap barely big enough for a 2'3" midget.
Ecstasy !

Re: One member appeal to others
Just to drag this back away from "ignore lists" and how to deal with trolls .... I have to whole heartedly endorse the first posters sentiments. This could have been one of those games that needed a PhD in 3D graphics to produce any additional stuff, or even just a once only download like MSTS. Inst...

Just had a look at the rest of those assets... now I wonder what inducements can be offered to update some of the other MSTS bridges to RW ? There are some there that I am particularly lusting after .....

Re: Latest Railworks Newsletter
So let me get this right - you'd rather what excatly ? No fix to features or fixes to features ? Is it possible that maybe, just maybe. for once it could be acknowledged that thanks to this company we are no longer dealing with the bug ridden mess that was MSTS. I seem to recall a considerable time ...

Re: Steam Era Sounds
After using Richard Armstrong's Powerhouse wagons the sounds for some of the content like the 8F, Jubilee, 4F etc are repointed away from the developers directory to the AP directory by modifying the BG_Steam inside the developers audio/bogie directory. Aty the same time the default Kuju BG_Steam is...

Re: Steam Era Sounds
I am not a sound expert or even beginner by any means. Lots of folks are clearly extreemly knowledgable (and with excellent hearing) at detecting if a loco should have 3 or 4 beats for cylinders etc. I have purchased / downloaded both the excellent Armstrong Powerhouse and MW soundpacks and pleased ...

Re: Problem with Ivatt 2-6-2T cab mod
pm sent today. suspect it is because you don;t have the 4mt ticked in the route that you are using the Ivatt in. Check the blue square thingy when in the world editor. I had a similar problem for one of my routes till I globally enabled the 4MT in the route using the world editor. I have also modded...
