The third rail is there :D There will also be a revised track texture which all going well, Matt will have soon and can post a comparison.... More and more good news!! I've already made up my mind to buy the route (well I did when I first heard about it actually) but I may also be at Leytonstone to...

The level of scenery detail is exellent and I likes wot I sees regarding the 3rd rail. I just hope minor problems (such as platform overlapping track on the far left of the screeny of South Croydon) can be sorted out before release so that they do not detract from the product as a whole. Also I thin...

As of this month - Between which two cities does the fastest passenger rail service run? I would say either London - Birmingham with Pendolino's (Not that they allowed to run at top whack yet) or Somewhere on the ECML (The real one) Probably with EUROSTAR(TM) Stock I'm pretty sure the fastest (aver...

The whole premise for the programme's subsequent events - an ASLEF strike following a crash at Edinburgh Waverley - was flawed. Can anybody think of any cause of a crash that might induce strikes from ASLEF? I certainly can't. Obviously, neither could the programme-makers, as we are never told a) Wh...

Colin Marsden's book 'HST Silver Jubilee' has got an excellent section on these if you want to know about them.

Bloody expensive though.

I clocked Deltic 9 at 116mph down Stoke last year.

Back in the '60s, Irving Wells, Chief Mechanical Engineer with EE, timed D9011 at 120mph and accelerating down Stoke in the early days.

Now that's HELLFIRE!!!!

Don't Virgin own one depot? Can't remember the name but it's associated with water I think.
That would be Central Rivers, near Burton-upon-Trent.

Accoding to Sir Beardalot's simplistic press releases, it is the Voyagers' 'mothership depot'. It is in fact owned and operated by Bombardier.

Excellent idea for a new train service though, doubt it'll happen of course though I quite agree (in both excellent idea, and unlikely to happen). However, Vermin do have advanced plans for an hourly Gatwick-Manchester service via Redhill and Guildford from Summer TT 2004. This would possibly be mo...

Hi

'Fraid this:
Calling at Bristol Parkway, Swindon, Didcot Parkway, Reading, Guildford, and Gatwick Airport only
would not be possible; a reversal at Redhill would be necessary.

(Would be good for me, though - I live there!)
