I believe compute and save does the positioning of the trains, so that it doesn't have to do it in MSTS when you start the activity. it pre-saves the locations where the trains will start, making it quicker to load.

After looking at the various bits of GNER stock I have installed on my machine, I've realised that maybe it'd be a good idea for UKtrainsim to have a UK standardised colour pallete listing. For instance, the GNER eurostar is a rich blue colour. The class 90 is a dark blue, the HST is a darker blue a...

Has anyone made a track tamper, and other engineering style stuff for MSTS yet? I've done a search of the downloads directory, but couldn't find any matches. I'm not too fussed about having one that'll move - a static consist of a tamper in a siding, or blocking a line as if it's working would be fi...

My local PC World has Train Sim Modeler at £19.99, instead of the £29.99 (which I only paid a couple of weeks back *hmmpf*).

I'd imagine they've all discounted it to that price, and it's the cheapest I know of.

You can't "drive" more than one train, but you can drive a loco, with various consists behind it. eg: you could drive a freight to yard a, uncouple, go forward to yard b, and drive along with the coaches or whatever from there. other than that, nope

my snow activity isn't great, but it's the first snow, and first night one i've done.

think future ones, i'll do only in more built up areas, with nicely lit stations, and stock that has interior lighting so there's more to look at.

still, it's a very demanding 4 hours of driving!

I really like the 325  would be good if you consider that for a rebuild, maybe if/when you do the 365? would be really cool with a proper cabview too.. that's one of the things that seems missing from the modern emu's on MSTS. still, for now it's perfectly good enough, and has featured in all...
