Engine Start ups
Has anyone worked out how we can simulate a locomotive being started or shutdown?
Is there a way to introduce another button control to a locomotive cab for this?
Its one of the big things that train sim is missing (are you listening microsoft?)

With all due respect, if you'd spent months of your free time developing something, you *might* think differently about people ripping off your work without even asking you 1st and then pretending that they've done it all. Until then, maybe you should not make it sound that everyone else is some an...

Go
Get an NVIDIA card, AGP 4x is now standard speed, go for the ge-force 4 as much as you can afford. If you are on a budget get an MX series card, If you want performance get a TI series card, When it somes to parts you get what you pay for, bear in mind that you will often find the same card from dif...

BVE Un-official Update
I have for some time wanted to customise bve to a more english feel, so i did! The most notable change will be the fact you now have AWS in the cab instead of ATS and that stupid EB to cancel. England rule........ email me if you want the update - masterful_euan_d@yahoo.com I have read all the posts...

My opinion
These are my views, nothing concrete Virgin dont like HSTs because they are 25 years old and not designed by virgin them selves. In there view the HST is not a modern design, were as a tilt capable one engine per vehicle is. Every success on the railway has had a prototype, the voyager didnt - it wo...

why not,
probelms seem to arrise with the couplings on most stock, all modern locos should be air braked - as should there wagons. Some stock should be dual braked, Class 37 and 47 are classic examples The class 37s (37424 for instance) have dual couplings chain and auto the chain couplings are supposed to g...

hmm,
What everyone wants is the ability to run a diesel loco into a terminus, uncouple run round the stock to the other end, couple up again and switch ends to have all the control available and operational at that end, this would involve a new msts obviously but the benifits of it would be clear. If thi...

Brakes
Air brakes are the most effective of all, it is possible to have a loco dual braked but i am not sure of the effect if you have a mixed rake of stock. ALL wagons must have the same type or brakes as the loco for proper braking to work! - single pipe air and dual pipe air dont mix either. I tired thi...
