Re: AI Trains and block claims
Andis is your man regarding the signal adaption. I dont fully understand the signalling and track occupancy. What I do know is Andis signal code has no issue with single line. All the issue you explain work with his signals. What seems odd is the description of the signal with in the block. They sou...

Re: AI Trains and block claims
Savvo1 What you describe is the worst case for train simulator UKTS signals. Player train and AI trains approaching each other will cause a lot of grief. The player and AI trains do in fact take occupancy of routes a head and some time the dispatcher has a mind of its own. Despite you pathing the tr...

Re: Andis Signal Config
These two threads should be joined. Andis, Your comment about route character fields Regarding KYM23, I don't think these route character fields take more than one character. The digit is not needed there anyway. Route character and distant signal code? Route character and distant signal code does s...

Re: Andis Signal Config
Andis, I removed the indicator and the signals do in fact work. They will not freeroam but with some crossing activation every signal arm will clear for the routes sent by the discs. The disc order is correct and the my test build tests every option with disc and route to main signal. I used the tex...

Re: Andis Distant Signal Coding
The Signal Approach Speed I have been setting the home signal approach speeds. I prefer the option for speed to clear the signal but not show a speed restriction beyond the signal. This is discussed in the Reference Manual section 3.1.5 and 3.1.6 The config is slightly different from a junction sign...

Re: Andis Distant Signal Coding
Andis I tested the Royal Albert suggestion and this works. Auscgu wrote: Next question on a similar concept At Royal Albert you have the main line and loop side by side with a single track over the bridge. Start signal for both signals and a short section to a section signal with distant before the ...

The First Dependent Disc Code Dep Disc Code 04.jpg The dependent disc currently sending the code. Dep Disc Code 05.jpg You can see that for links 1 to 4 the correct disc displays. These are the code for route 5 and you can see this arrive at the main signal by the indicator. All codes display the di...

Re: Andis Signal Config
Andis, Back to signal config and code to configure the main signal in advance. I have tried Independent and Dependent discs to transfer the code. Apart from the basic route number nothing else will transfer. I have setup a route to test the dependent code and all is showing in the Test Indicator. Bu...

Re: Turntable
The EK turntable can be modified with more roads and is an excellent GWR Beam type. The standard is 8 road but look at the .bin file and create the number of roads you need. I have left the name standard and added the number of roads. E.G. Kingswear_Turntable_24 Kingswear_Turntable_32 The path is th...

Re: Andis Signal Config
The Up Direction for the SR Transfer from the WR track also has a ground disc for the trailing crossover and Bull Point branch signal before the transfer crossing. The signal SBF03 is a 0 link signal with wrappers. SBF03 01.jpg The wrapper is SBF18A for the transfer. SBF18A 01.jpg I have setup appro...

Andis Signal Config
The transfer at St Budeaux has the extra complication of the Bull Point Branch. This transfer has taken a while to sort out the signals and achieve the signal function. This is a classic situation where you have signals with in signals and in this case for both directions. The transfer to the Bull P...

Re: AndiS Signals - "not fixed" and "questionable reversal"
Wrapping a turntable? Would you treat every available road as if the turntable is a multiple road crossing? The idea is to allow the dispatcher to keep track of the rolling stock in all sidings. I have tried this and worth a revisit for scenario potential. Currently have no turntables with wrappers ...

Re: AndiS Signals - "not fixed" and "questionable reversal"
I have worked with turntables in GD1958 and written and run scenarios around the turntable at Friary and Laira. All have been player trains and AI trains. The player trains run on turn and depart the loco yard with no issues. I have found putting a marker right at the turntable helps with pathing. A...

Just Geoff has given me an update and its more serious that Mike intimated. He is waiting a major opp in 5 to 7 day then ICU before coming home to recuperate. I have had the pleasure of working with Mike for the last 3 years on GD1958 and the extension is impressive. Thanks for all your best wishes ...
