Re: Files Reaquired - But When ?
Whether I'm "still running the wrong routine, at the wrong time, for the wrong reasons" is irrelevant. When I do run it, it should work correctly, which you appear to have proven that it doesn't. Whether that's because of a faulty verify routine of a couple of faulty .ap files is also not relevant t...

Re: Files Reaquired - But When ?
Very few of the 1374 are "local configuration files". I don't think the network congestion theory holds water. I can run several Verifies in a row and they're all clean. Then I run the game and then a Verify and I'm back to 1374. It would have to be a very strange coincidence that network congestion...

Re: Files Reaquired - But When ?
It seems to me that several people have expressed their views in this thread as to how they THINK the Steam Verify process works, often as a means of defending DTG/Steam. It also seems to me that no-one here actually KNOWS exactly how it works. Whether a Verify is a reasonable thing to do or not, if...

Give me 30 mins and it will be re-uploaded.
*EDIT*
It has been corrected. You can re-download now. Any more problems then let me know.
Callum.
Thanks for that Callum.

Re: Files Reaquired - But When ?
I verify on a periodic basis because I have a DLC-only installation on my spare desktop. Running the verify enables me to see what files have been updated by Steam. I don't understand the comment about files being changed by the game when it runs. If I ran the game and then checked for files with th...

Re: Files Reaquired - But When ?
Have you thought of re-installing/repairing STEAM to see if that fixes the issue? On the advice of Steam support I uninstalled Steam (not realizing that would also delete all of my third party content. Grrrr.) and reinstalled everything. That did not result in any improvement. If there's been a nee...

Re: Files Reaquired - But When ?
John, I have had this problem with my DLC-only installation for a long time. I've reported it to Steam and to DTG but neither seems inclined to do something about it. I run the verify and get a similar message. I let it sit for a while and then check to see which files have a current date. These fil...

Re: Snow Falling Through Canopy
Unfortunately it was developed too late to make it into the release version but it was tested by the team anyway and it certainly worked.

Re: Snow Falling Through Canopy
It was possible in MSTS and one of the Making Tracks guys provided a solution. The trick is to build an invisible tunnel section that just fits under the station canopy. That stops the rain and snow from falling on the station. The downside is that the loco view will switch to the cab and the night ...

On the issue of whether the extension needs to be reinstalled, I played it safe. I uninstalled the extension (by running the installer), uninstalled the base route (by running the installer), reinstalled the base route (by running the installer) and reinstalled the extension (by running the installe...
