Thanks all for the replies. I have bought the Weardale route because it just looks amazing, and I am definitely not disappointed. I just need to get some steam into here now. What kind of steam trains ran on this route?

Thanks for the suggestions thusfar. The Weardale route really does interest me because of it's size. What steam locos would have driven this route back in the day? I might 'steamify' it myself.
