Hi Guys Picked up this thread after I queried what appeared to be a change in the "Front" page on the admin forum. Missed your thread earlier Peter but totally agree about the upgrade/patch thing. At least can we make uploaders mark clearly a version or patch number in the title? It's understandable...

Thanks Guy's I was beginning to think I needed to join AA!! Missed your thread earlier Peter but totally agree about the upgrade/patch thing. At least can we make uploaders mark clearly a version or patch number in the title ? It's understandable that problems may not all be "fixed" in one attempt b...

Thanks for that Link Peter,

Certainly a very impressive set of screenshots! I've been following that development on their web site and the "teeny weeny" screenshots (note to 3D Trains. Can't you do someting about that?) certainly didn't do these models justice!

Hi Vern, I can see your point about wasted effort and I'm sure that many developers would do their utmost to "update" stuff if necessary. I've already commented in the forums as to how grateful and impressed I am with many "freeware" developers commitment to "honing" their output. If "SE2" (MSTS2) d...

Changes to the "Front" / Log In page ?

Matt, Happy New Year and thanks for the efforts in sorting the server's whilst I for one was over indulging. Is it me? or is there a change to the "Front"/log in page? A couple of times recently, and I speak as a daily viewer, I've spotted files of interest on the "Front" page and clicked to downloa...

Hi Speedbird,

Rather embarrassingly I now have a Japanese neighbour. A really nice guy with a lovely wife and brand new baby son. Rather embarrassing as I used to whoop with joy as I committed yet another virtual ship load of “Japsâ€

Hi Matthew, Not wanting to exclude the current preservation line, which having visited it over the years is a really excellent effort which is obviously maintained by love, sweat and tears, I think any member of that society would agree if I said that the route was too good to "waste" on recreating ...

No aggresion intended here, but who cares? Personally I've enjoyed what's been made available by the talents of the international community, and as someone said recently "turned this Sow's Ear into a Silk Purse", so I for one will not be trashing all of this excellent stuff just because Micro$oft fi...

Hi Dave, It might help if you named the routes. Although there are some "basics" common to many downloaded routes, some have been really "unfriendly" to install. Nothing dramatic or unobtainable.... more just awkward. I'm not being rude here but, read the "read me" file carefully AND then read it ag...

Eerrrrr....... Excuse my ignorance..... where exactly is Fratton? More to the point why would anyone want to attack it? Why would any "terrorist" waste time attacking the railways when the companies that run them and their infrastucture have already rendered them all but unuseable. The fares alone r...

TV ALERT 2

Is it me or did I miss this too? [img][album 33876 trains_radiotimes.jpg] [/img] It definitely didn't go out as advertised in this Radio Times preview. Another series ran in these time slots. Check out http://www.pioneertv.com/ the programme makers web site. It shows "Date to be finalised" and my e-...

Hi George Much appreciate this post. I downloaded the route and checked Train-Sim's forums for information. General consensus was that a bit more "read-me" type info would have been helpful. Looks great. I only wish more people would make use of the MSTS for USA forum. I know that this may seem supe...

I agree with all that John has said in his reply. Without Train-Sim.com and UKTS, to say nothing of dozens of international sites, run basically by and for Train Sim Fans, we would be left with a pretty basic piece of original software. I finally gave up the monotonous "back, click, back,click...." ...
