Re: The Thameslink Line

Has there been a solution to the AI Pantograph issue anywhere? Has anyone looked how the 395s do it, as I presume they run with the pantograph up on HS1 and then down on the third rail bit. Obviously they are designed to do that though, wheras another train might need modification which might cause...

Closest I know of is by the guy we can't talk about. Closest I know of is by the guy we can't talk about. And AFAIK that will only work with another specific version of one of the aforementioned producers products. I've just been informed that it does work, and does indeed control the diesel loco a...

Re: Waggonz Class 90

Looks great. Do like the 90s, even if I prefer the 87s and 86s. Plenty of diversity for activities on 25kV routes, what with being used on Intercity, Mail and Sleepers services. DVT will be a nice addition too for prototypical WCML services. Not only will it be useful on WCML North, but also Settle ...

“Above all, in future franchise competitions we are placing passengers in the driving seat by ensuring that their views and satisfaction levels are taken into account when deciding which companies run our railway services. This paragraph worries me somewhat. So what happens when the ATW franchise a...

Re: Train splitting - destinations announced etc

Trains will be announced as somewhere and somewhere, for example Portsmouth and Bognor Regis or Ore and Littlehampton. They will then annouce the stations call at until the point where it divides, where they will announce "where this train divides. The front 4 carriages will call at.... The rear 4 c...

Just use the right arrow to move to the right side of the cab, then left to move back and you will be at the default position.

It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for some of the buggy updates recently, which people like to be offline to avoid.

Re: BIrmingham - Daw Mill sidings

Looking forward to seeing the line to Nuneaton done. Will be interesting to see where you go next. Great thing about the route is that it looks good, but it's not getting the feeling of being too big at all yet. Runs totally smooth on my system whilst many routes (L-B, WCML) are a bit slow in places...

That AP scenario pack almost makes me want to get the route. Just a shame there isn't the rest of the proper route into London.

Re: Bromsgrove - Derby, update

Just come across a bad problem in the Derby area. I'd set up a train to run from Birmingham to Derby and everything was fine until I got to the junction with the line towards Stoke at which point I without warning was sent over the crossover onto the opposite line at 90mph, leading to a derailment. ...

Re: Old routes not work in TS13

I am also having a problem getting the Blackpool tramway route to run on TS2013. The same thing happens when I try to load it but it worked fine in TS2012, I have even reinstalled it and installed the patch but it is still not working. I get that same problem too. I've tried running it through RWto...

Re: New for Old

The lining wouldn't effect ventilation as even if the lining itself was porous to gases the large amount of rock and soil would prevent gases diffusing to and from the tunnel. The most likely explanation seems to be the single ventilation shaft on a tunnel of that length. Possibly the concrete linin...

Re: Bromsgrove - Derby, update

Very nice. It's amazing how well you can get the feel of a place with accurate track layout and default items. Just to add to corrections, the south facing bay at Derby should be P5, with the East side platform being 6. P5 is very useful for this route as it's often used to turn services to and from...

Re: New UK Loco *Class 68

Nice low axle weight. Shame the DfT are so up their own rears about IEP or else this could provide a very good alternative to bi-mode, in fact the axle weight isn't much more than a modern unit. Either have EMUs only and use these to drag off the wires, or have Traxx electric locos too and swap them...
