Just remember that allthough taking photos is NOT illegal, if station staff ask you to leave or to stop taking photos, you have to comply. I went for a trip with John (aka 'Yings must die') and Scott Lowes, to Carlisle for the GNER HSTs today. I don't think any camera has 'fixed exposure', exposure depends on various factors. Anyway I am sure the darkness was deliberate. IMO that's a fantastic, atmospheric shot. The only downside is the 'do not cross the line' sign being in the way. Other than that, a fantastic phot IMO, and he is proving...

Alternatively i could walk along the A205 a bit further to Tulse Hill, which would be slightly more convenient as i wouldn't have to go into London.
