DTG recommend using NVidia settings to offload physics calcs to the GPU but that may not be possible with your older card.

Yes it does look very pretty and the quality of terrain texturing, foliage and scenery is a big step up from TS.

After Update 2 I see plenty of positive comments about improved FPS and none about reduced graphics quality. So I think it's fair to call it optimisation.

To pick up on the previous question - what has been added/changed please from the original release of these packs, which I already own?

I simply told NVidia to Add a game and selected TSW from the list, which paths to ts2prototype-win64-shipping.exe

Here we are at V1.00 of a multi-year franchise and you are writing off the game already? No previous trainsim has been faultless out of the box. Turn down the settings a little and TSW runs just as well as TS2017 and looks a whole lot better.

I don't think you need 60FPS for a decent trainsim experience but continuing reports of low FPS on high end rigs does suggest the game needs further optimisation.

Anyone seen improvements from adjusting the NVidia game settings?

Reading around other forums, the consensus is that the release version is still not optimised for performance (hence little benefit from top-end rigs) and the loco physics are improved but still not fully sorted.
