Re: Locomotive Wish List.
I'm sure I'll be spending more time in TSW as UK routes (and editor tools) come along, but it may be years before it has enough UK content to keep me there permanently.

Re: 3D track (sleepers) on the Riviera Line route?
The downside to 3D track is a FPS hit and a very visible pop-up of the 3D sleepers in the distance as the LODs kick in.

If you want to get serious about junction rendering you will need Matt's secret debug tool, as revealed at 10:00 mins:

Re: GNR Derbyshire and Staffordshire Extension info
It's certainly a very good idea to have track and signalling complete on at least part of the route before initial release so that scenarios don't get broken in future versions.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing this route.

If your track and your DEM are 300m apart I can guarantee route building misery.

Re: UK Routes for TSW
TSW content development will be under a separate team (or even a third party) so I doubt that bug fixing will impinge on UK route development.
Realistically the first UK route for TSW is likely to be based on a high profile modern image prototype, as that's what seems to sell best.

Re: Exeter to Plymouth 1958 GWr & LSWR/BR/SR expansion
It would be sensible to include Exmouth Jct shed as many loco turns through Exeter Central would start or finish there.

Negative values are usually taken to mean a descending gradient.

The two Marketplace releases appear to have the same coaches as the original Matrix release but some livery variations - perhaps somebody can confirm this.

Re: Future Bright for TSW say DTG. Post from Steam.
DTG make most of their money from DLC and not core game sales, and their TS2017 cash cow is still humming along nicely. So they are under no great pressure to rush TSW, which so far is little more than an extended beta release without much content to keep users playing. Take-up of TSW will be driven...

The pack includes only SR liveries, so is this another loco release that will make you pay twice to get the more popular BR versions?

Hopefully by opening their own shop DTG pays less to Steam and is able to offer a better deal to third party content providers.

Re: Railroad engineers perspective of TSW
It's too early to write TSW off. It has a powerful physics engine under the hood and if DTG can't tune it properly then I'm sure those same experts will step in.
