Re: Why no news from DTG?
I think it was decent of DTG to reveal it was a latent bug in their products. They could have just hidden behind the Steam update.

Re: Is Trainz 2019 Worth Getting?
Trainz 2019 is claimed to be a massive update and the promotional videos look great. TSW standard graphics with editor and backward compatibility for DLC. It sounds too good to be true. I've seen a comment elsewhere that it needs a powerful PC (not surprising), and I thought the videos showed the ro...

Is Trainz 2019 Worth Getting?
Ok, I know this may seem an odd topic in a TS2020, but please hear me out. I've been a massive player of TS2020 and got a huge amount of DLC, but like most people occasionally you need a change to stop going stale. I'm very familiar with the TS2020 play experience, both good and bad and I'm wonderin...

Re: AP Class 375/377 pack in progress
You've got to admit that the term 'fanboy' is a great one, it does so perfectly describe the behaviour of some people who instinctively leap to the defence of their favourite developer whenever some criticism is made of them, even when justified. It's as if I buy a Peugeot 207, see some criticism of...

Re: Just Trains Spring Sale
I took the opportunity to buy the Derby - Sheffield route and I'm very impressed. I've bought a number of JT routes in the past and while some such as Kyle have engaged me, in general I've been disappointed. But this route is very good, even transformational compared with what was typical a few year...

Re: Class 86 coming from Armstrong Powerhouse
But that doesn't solve the problem, which is that the DTG 86 fans are too loud in relation to everything else.gptech wrote:Somebody's got to do it, so I guess it might as well be me who paraphrases some guidance from somebody who knows a bit about how the game deals with sounds....

Is that two fingered on the same hand or do you need to use both? I don't have the pack yet.749006 wrote:The two fingered control of the power handle is a backward step.
If it's two fingered on one hand that doesn't seem so unreasonable as the real tap changer is designed for one hand.

Re: Adjusting height of static shadows on stock
The opacity would need an edit to the texture itself, but the positioning of the shadow along the vehicle's length is determined in the matrix set you've already edited; it'll be either the 13th or 15th set of values. How would I do that please? I have graphic software, but don't know where to find...

Re: Adjusting height of static shadows on stock
Gary, thanks for the help. I've got the shadow height and width scaling sorted, but how do I decrease the shadow opacity a bit and if possible push it backwards a little down the train, so it doesn't stick out so much at the front? I presume it's the same approach to altering the ride height of the ...

The google maps overlay definitely works in the southern hemisphere as I've used it in the Outenique Choo Tjoe route.

How would I be able to determine that please?gptech wrote:The shadow texture is called for in the .GeoPcDx file, so in theory it'd be possible to adjust the position if it's defined as a named node.
