If it's two fingered on one hand that doesn't seem so unreasonable as the real tap changer is designed for one hand.

The opacity would need an edit to the texture itself, but the positioning of the shadow along the vehicle's length is determined in the matrix set you've already edited; it'll be either the 13th or 15th set of values. The google maps overlay definitely works in the southern hemisphere as I've used it in the Outenique Choo Tjoe route.

What are the settings you are using?
