Re: Creating a new path
Thank you! I didn't realise that "show more of the path" would extend the path to the next node. Now I've got a new path. Maybe the "show more should be exchanged to "extend" the path....

Re: Creating a new path
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't draw a new path. I can set a starting point, I can reverse the direction of the path, but the path doesn't go further than the next switch. In the docs it says: "At this point in the editor is still under construction." and "The Path editor is intended to...

Re: Steamer usage of coal and water
Thanks!
1) No, it's my own model. I could mail you that.
2) No, it's my own route. In state of development, impossible to mail. There are a few steeper gradients up to 0.22% the rest is more ore less flat up to 0.08%
3) Max speed is 35 kmh mostly around 25 kmh + waiting in stations.

Re: Steamer usage of coal and water
I have used your calculator and the result confirms my suspicions and the information from my friend, the engineer : something is wrong. For the 43 km I should need around 2000-2200l of water. That would empty the tank to about 25% to 30%. On my last run I ended up full with 84%.

Creating a new path
Maybe a stupid question: the MSTS Editors don't work on my computer. How can I create a new path for OR to use the timetable?

Re: Steamer usage of coal and water
I'm not talking about the Krauss, I'm referring to my 298.02 from the Steyrtalbahn in Austria resp. series U from the kkStB Austria.

ORTS error help please
In the OpenRailsLog I get the warning message: "Warning: When expecting a number, we found a ) marker. Using the default 0 in C:\MSTS-Strecken\Pyhrnbahn\trains\trainset\STB_298_02\openrails\stb_298_02.eng:line 2" It is an include file, and I am to stupid to figure out, what is wrong: " include ( ../...

Re: Steamer usage of coal and water
Hi! I don't have any lists or tables of fuel consumption, but one of my friends was an engineer driving those locos for the railway museum. He assures me, that they had to fill up halfway after about 43 km. (In the good old days when the route had not been truncated to half the original length, anyw...

Re: Steamer usage of coal and water
Sorry for late reply, was on vacation. @steamer1960: It is the narrow gauge 298 series from the k.k.Austrian Railways -> https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/KkStB_U @systema: I used the info on the CTN site therefore the "strange mixture". Do you mean I have to remove all the MSTS relevant entries except ...

Re: OR Editor?
Fact is that most of the discussion of TSRE5 happens on the Elvas Tower Forum and that seems to be the place where the author answers questions. For us, Elvas Tower unworthy individuals, that means we can't reach the author and no questions may be asked. That triggered my initial suggestion, to coll...

Re: Steamer usage of coal and water
Thanks for your answer. 1) I'm not using MSTS any more, and the narrow gauge route I'm building is OR only and doesn't load in MSTS anyway, so I can't say what the usage in MSTS would be. 2) I'm sorry, my question was not very precise; what I really wanted to know was which parameters in the eng fil...

Re: OR Editor?
I really appreciate the efforts of the OR team and those of Goku and I'm grateful. Btw most of us non-commercial developers, builders etc. work in our spare time. What I don't understand is the elitist secrecy of elvas tower forum and the complete lack of info for TSRE5. I would very much like to he...
