i would be more than happy for the whole 153 fleet to be removed from service.

153 were designed to supplement other stock in multiple unit, or operate short distances(i belive). having travelled on these heaps o' . twice a day, every day since Central took over from RR and pulled everything except 158 and 170 in peak and a 156 rarely off the wolverhampton to shrewsbury stoppi...

153s on a busy commuter train!?! i live by the quiet Wton to Shrewsbury line, all the LOCAL services are full when covered by a 153 during peak times. 3 car 170s are full during busy commuter periods. How would a 153 cope?
