Re: Settle to Carlisle 1975
It updated on my installation just fine with no prompting from me. Route runs well, and looks good, countryside is just like what I remember of the area, it has the look and feel just right I think. Been about 14 years since I last worked in Skipton. Though I could not take on water near one of the ...

Re: What sound playback equipment do you use for TS20xx?
Mostly I use my Logitech G35 headset so as not to disturb the family too much, for when I want glorious surround sound I use the HDMI output on my GTX580 through a good quality AV surround system where I have a chuffing good 1400W of amplification :o I love my home cinema and good quality sound is i...

Re: Digital Traction - LNER B12 in the works!
Great drive - however a strange anomaly - when in a station with full brakes the speed keeps fluctuating between zero and 0.2mph. This 'nervous' behaviour makes it tricky to get the doors to open. Anyone else noticed this? I've noticed this with a few different steam engines, usually what I do if i...

Re: Realistic Advice for the Betterment of Driving
Banking did indeed take place at Queen Street. Here, the engine was supposed to be coupled to the train (and uncoupled at Cowlairs) but whether that happened in reality I couldn't say. John In this 1960 film/video at about 1:20 in you can see the morning Ft.William train headed by a B1 and a Standa...

Re: uncoupling from loco issues
I've had this problem too, mainly with steam locos. Some scenarios are left incomplete as I could not uncouple that last wagon from the tender. It does not happen all the time thank goodness!

Re: Realistic Advice for the Betterment of Driving
Reverser Use - Also, assuming no interlock device is present, would damage be incurred if the reverser was put into reverse when actually moving forwards? (I realise this would be bad practice anyway, the same as mullahring your car's gearbox! and would depend on the vintage/type of loco/unit I'm g...

Re: Suburban Glasgow
Oh that looks good! well done that man! a big thank you too. One small stutter just as I got to the bridge before Partick on the Down line coming from Queen street low level, but my HDDs are not the fastest around, apart from that it went smooth, and that stutter wasn't as bad as some others I've h...

Re: Suburban Glasgow
Cunning! Havn't checked the underground yet ;) Yes I had seen the token sections, I had green all the way until coming into Queen Street, when I got the yellow warnings coming into the tunnel, but no AWS activation on those. I did get AWS warnings on the yellows when leaving the low level. Not seen ...

Re: Suburban Glasgow
I'd be curious how performance is on various PC's going through the Hyndland and Partick areas as the scenery tiles there are quite dense - and if need be, maybe thin them out a bit. Cheers Iain Great, now I go and follow some track again :) Is there a FPS counter in TS2014? I have tried with FRAPS...
