The Preston-Carlisle route is 5.7 meters high. I think I copied it from another route.

I hope to make the route from Carlisle to Crewe. So far I have the track done from Carlisle to Preston. I have uploaded a version from Penrith to Oxenholme.

I downloaded a narrow gauge Route "Alpine Tunnel" from Train-sim.com. There is no track bed - Spring, summer and fall but there is in winter. I have run Route Riter - no luck replacing the missing files. I have tried manually to add acleantrack1.ace and 2 - to Textures - but still no luck. I must b...

Here is a screenshot of Preston Station in the RE (facing south) so far. I still need to finish of the track at the southern end as can be seen in the screenshot.

I don't think it is, it is only 843ft above see level. It is the highest village on the WCML in England :)
