If you don't get a satisfactory response in very short order I suggest you contact their ISP. A reputable ISP will take a very dim view of copyright theft. Hope all works out well for you.

Re: Yet another intractible pathing problem
Let me just say that most of the Sim is first rate! no doubt about that! Loco's rolling stock, world graphics, even the sounds are very good, as you point out its the core where the problem seems to be, sort out pathing and signalling and you have an absolute winner :D Pete, I'm not getting at you ...

Re: can't open Asset Editor
Skelter, I found I needed to untick the "Full Screen" option and set the resolution to something less than the full resolution of my monitor. So I changed it from 1280 x 1024 to 1152 x 864. If that doesn't work for you try searching for "windowed mode" in these forums as it's been discussed before. ...

Re: Secondary speed limits
I am lead to believe that in America where generally freight traffic is predominant the lines are built to carry high axle load traffic and therefore a possible reason for the passenger speed being lower may be one of comfort. Passengers being more susceptible to high lateral forces than freight. M...

Re: Secondary speed limits
Nick, The design of the the RailSim UK differential speed limit signs seems to be correct in having the lower (secondary) limit at the top. See here for all you could possibly need to know about trackside signs! http://www.rgsonline.co.uk/docushare/dsweb/Get/Rail-41371/GIRT7033.pdf I think the US si...

Re: Secondary speed limits
Nick, Are you running those on your route, or Cajon Pass? Also bear in mind that as far as I can tell you don't get "assessed" in free roam scenarios, only Standard Scenarios. The primary and secondary limits certainly seem to have some effect on Cajon Pass, it's just that they seem to be labelled i...

Re: New IOW screenshots?
It looks brillant, also liking the new foot crossings, as they will go well on my route. Hopefully it will be released on a Dvd, same with the Class 66. You might be in luck there! I've just received my Just Flight & Just Trains Newsletter - July 2008, and the Class 66 and IOW route are mentioned a...

Re: Secondary speed limits
I am not sure if we have that sort of thing in this country. Tilting trains, and ordinary trains perhaps? Does RS have dual restriction signs for its continental routes perhaps? Yes there are differential speed limits in this country, most often setting a lower limit for freight, but also higher li...

Re: New IOW screenshots?
Also, the sleepers are the correct size. No disrespect intended Derek, but they must be a little short as the third rail insulators are sitting mostly on the ballast in several of the recent screenshots, where they should be on the sleepers. I think that the main problem is not that the sleepers ar...

Re: Speed limits on Cajon Pass?
Having re-run the scenario I can confirm that if you keep to the lower speed limits you get a clean bill of health in the scenario summary. As my post on the Rail Simulator site forum has gone unanswered would anyone from RSDL care to comment here as to why the Driver's Assistant apparently shows th...

Re: Speed limits on Cajon Pass?
I've just been "done" for speeding in the scenario summary the same as you. My theory is that the speed limit signs, and the speed limit shown in the Driver's Assistant are wrong. The trackside signs show a higher limit for freight than passenger trains, I think it should be the other way round, and...

Re: Gears
The Dev Docs (2.11 Diesel Simulation Blueprints) suggest that manual gear change is supported. I hope it works, otherwise RSDerek's Class 101 won't be very realistic!rfranken wrote:Do you think RS will support manual gears? (Like the MSTS Kiha)

........ and not two "gears" in the way most would understand the term, just converter drive and coupling drive. This page on the manufacturer's web site has a link to a colourful pdf if you're interested in more info: http://www.voithturbo.com/hydrodynamic-drives-products-for-diesel-railcars-t211re...
