Re: Multi-use platforms
Hi, I am far from being an expert on scenarios [as many of my previous posts have indicated] but, unless I have misunderstood, would using stopping points not be an answer. You would have one platform marker for both east and west ends of the platform, but as many stopping points as you need. On ma...

Re: Liverpool to Manchester via Earlestown
Once we have reached Newton Heath, we will return to Earlestown/Newton le Willows to connect the WCML, possibly from Warrington Bank Quay to Wigan. After that, who knows? I may attempt to reach Preston from Salford (if Andy is still willing to construct towns and villages on the way).

Multi-use platforms
There are many instances on the real railways of platforms being used for 2 (or more) trains. For example, at a station terminus (such as Glasgow Queen Street), there may be a "Front Train" and a "Rear Train" on one platform, the latter not able to move until the former has left. At through stations...

Re: Removing Signals
Hi is There a quicker way to remove signals in a route as i find it really daunting doing it Manualy There is, but must be used with caution. You need RWTools - the excellent toolbox produced by Mike Simpson. On his website http://www.rstools.info/ there are a number of tutorials. Look at the one o...

Re: Liverpool to Manchester via Earlestown
Looking forward to this. Will Manchester Victoria station be the new station or the old one? Manchester Victoria will be set pre 1990s (17 Platforms). For this phase, Platforms 1 to 10 will be sterile (ie no traffic as they all head east, and we stop just past ManVic East Signal Box). The next phas...

Re: Liverpool to Manchester via Earlestown
Will this be an extension of the current BR blue refurb of the Liverpool to Manchester route or an entirely different route? IE will the line via Warrington be included in this? This is an extension to the BR Blue refurb, so the line through Warrington is included (see the first image in https://ww...

Re: Setting timed destination for AI trains
The strange timings for AI can occur if you change the start time in RW_Tools. Failure to click the box for "all consists" when you are attempting to start later means that other trains are then scheduled to start BEFORE the scenario start time - hence the nn.nn +1 (changing the binary time back to ...

Re: Where can I find Portals to add to a scenario?
If you wish a portal to "spawn" AI or a consist, or even the player train itself, these markers are available in the scenario editor. But not Portals to extinguish a consist. I assume that you wish to remove consists soon after they have interacted with the player train. I find that there is very li...

Re: What's your boring sections on routes?
The main problem is, I think, that the engineers of the original (ie real) routes tried to make them as easy going as possible. If the way ahead was straight and flat, then that was the ideal. The only real detours were for the landed gentry with influence who did not wish to view those "dirty steam...

Re: Problems with track laying on a gradient.
I am not running Win 10 (thank goodness). From all reports so far, there are too many "cons" than "pros", so will sit it out - just as I did with Vista!bristolian wrote: I've not had this problem before, I wonder if it's a Windows 10 issue?.
Very Best Wishes,

Re: Problems with track laying on a gradient.
You should be in the "Lofts" menus (the tracks), bottom left menu. If you have "75" in the correct box (<), just under the number of tracks (|| ||), the radio button for the "snap to terrain" (to the right of the gradient box) NOT selected, then the track will lay at your selected gradient. Never ha...

Re: Liverpool to Manchester via Earlestown
Quick question - will the two routes be 'in one' or will this one be standalone from the DTG one? Looking very good BTW. This will be a Workshop route, so you will need to have the original DTG "Liverpool to Manchester" as DLC. WCMLoS is also a requirement, but nothing else other than Legacy items....

Re: Liverpool to Manchester via Earlestown
Thanks for the comments. We are actually using both old and new sets of trees and bushes (as was done in the original DLC from DTG). Whilst the newer ones are more realistic in some senses (being truly 3d rather than front facing flora), they are, in general, too sparse as far as leaves are concerne...

Liverpool to Manchester via Earlestown
Following the warm reception to our last project where we set DTG’s Liverpool-Manchester in the BR Blue era, Andy Freeman and I decided that the next one would be an extension to this, but this time going over Chat Moss following the original route, heading for Manchester Victoria (the oldest passen...
