Re: WCML London - midlands stock question

I think you will need the (separate) Class 86 DLC. They are basically the same model, by the same developer (Keith Ross), but they reside at different locations. As tubemad says, the class 86 that came with WCMLN is in Intercity livery only. It resides in the WCMLN folder. The separate class 86 DLC ...

Fully supported

Is there any way you can link to the user name concerned, so that I/we can report it?

Re: Armstrong Powerhouse Extra Pack

I always run the .exe. files into a \temp directory, and then copy over files from there, rather than install directly with the .exe file. Especially with extra stock packs etc. That way I can control what installs and be aware of it ahead of time. If you do this, in the case of AP extra stock packs...

Re: QD with Brighton Belle

Are these Pullman coaches (other than end units) the same design/spec as loco-hauled ones?

Re: Blue Pullman

Speaking of which . . . has anyone made any progress towards either publishing a revised soundset, or providing some guidance on manually editing? There was a lot of interesting discussion back when Richard Scott first published this excellent model, and as he himself said, he welcomes any work on t...

Re: Ruhr-Sieg/Hagen-Siegen

It is the very same route, it was just renamed with (I think) TS2012. The Asset folder is still RSC\HageSieg.

If you previously owned it, it should still be there in your folder structure - there shouldn't be any need to copy it over. The Route folder is 00000004-0000-0000-0000-000000000000

Re: Falmouth Branch

I will probably end up doing this, but if I do, will this mean I have to reinstall this patch whenever I check the integrity of my cache or whatever it is? It's a bit of a whotsit if I have a many such patches to keep reapplying. Tip: combine all your patches/updates/fixes/revised thumbnails (anyth...

Re: Where has TestTrak gone to ?

I still have it.

In fact the Class 156 Training Scenario is on it, along with another Class 156 scenario "Fault Testing", plus the original scenario for the Super Express Concept EMU and a couple of Free Roams for German and UK stock.

Re: A question on Quick Drives

I have found that by cloning an existing QuickDrive set up (with loco and fragments and the extra folders/files that entails) and then editing paths or copy/pasting to suit my own needs, I have been able to get other (pre-QD) locos running on QD with no problem. It's also a good way of learning how ...

Re: Getting older third party routes to run

Thanks, will try that Gary. Another odd thing I've just noticed, which may or may not be related to the problems, is that on examining some of my assets folders, there are a huge number of duplicates with (1) after the usual file names... Ash Those would be simply because at some stage you have cop...

Re: Unfinished Routes

The routes are not "incomplete" - they are limited to the length they are created as for several practical reasons. Time needed to create; size of file(s); and demand for usage of RAM which increase as route length and complexity increases, with more "memory", more paging of memory, more disc access...

Re: Free Br103 Traffic red from VirtualRailroads

Excellent, thanks for the heads up. Note that it states on the page - Traffic Red (as opposed to Orient Red) was not an official livery for this loco, and this was produced originally as an April Fool joke!!! There are free scenarios on there for the Orient Red, I'm going to switch them for this tra...
