Creating a "broken down" train
I'm creating a scenario where I want to place an AI train in such a way as it simulates a broken down consist. What I've done so far is place it on the line and not given it a driver. That's fine, I can then drive up as a player and attach another EMU to it and drive away. The trouble is that I've g...

Attaching loco to EMU
Hi
I'm putting together a scenario where I want to be able to get a Class 47 loco to tow a broken down Class 377 EMU. However, when I go to couple the two together the 377 derails no matter what I do. Any ideas or is it even possible?
Cheers

Re: Stop At Destination queries
I'm still a bit puzzled. I've just tried this again and whether I tick the box or not the message still appearsdeltic009 wrote:You have to use the tick for the message to be displayed, otherwise the typed out message for success won't appear. I'm afraid I don't know about the others you asked about.

Re: Starting cam view
Thanks Halbers. I was thinking more along the lines of whether it's possible to have, for example, a head-on view of the consist or maybe a more distant view etc. Whenever I make one it places the view looking forward from the side at a set distance. Would be nice to have some more subtle control bu...

Stop At Destination queries
Hi I'm getting more and more into writing scenarios but there are a few things in the "Stop at Destination" option I don't fully understand. 1. On the right hand side next to the Achievement text successful/unsuccessful there are tick boxes... what do they do? 2. And below those there are 3 boxes: S...

Re: Adding a stopping point
OK thanks. I can create and use a 'Marker - Destination' and that all works fine, but if I set a "stopping point" even if I save the scenario it doesn't appear in the drop down for some reason.

Adding a stopping point
Hi I'm writing a scenario where I'd like to trigger a message as a certain place on the track is passed. I've gone into Track Infrastructure >> Stopping Point and placed it on the track, noted the name (even changed it) but nothing shows up in the list of places when I add a stopping point for the p...

Starting cam view
Hi
Is it possible to change the default starting view position when putting together a scenario? I know it can be forced to give a cab view but don't know if there are any other options?

ECML-Peterborough: Night time frame rates
Hi I usually drive in daytime but just tried a couple of evening scenarios on the ECML-Peterborough route and they run extremely sluggishly. Tried it in free roam as well and still very slow. The same route in daylight hours is really smooth. I don't have this as an issue on any other route so just ...

Hi Dougie
Try this link... it gives you the process required to achieve this, in your case just reverse it. it worked for me OK:

Re: End of scenario issue
John Thanks for the feedback. Have been a bit busy over the last couple of days. In fact, I'd set up a new scenario as a test as well and no problems either. Cleared the cache as you suggested and no change. Then I deleted my train in the scenario with an issue, set that train up again and it works!...

Re: End of scenario issue
Hi John. It's the ECML London-Peterborough one. The destination I'm really trying to end at is Fletton Siding, about 1.5 miles south of Peterborough station. I've made scenarios on that route before and never had a problem. I've also tried a few of the sidings north of the station and having the sam...

Re: End of scenario issue
John, I've tried both from within editor and drive and both the same result. And yes, there is a "stop at" which is the same location as the final destination, so, in theory it should be fine
