Despite not being GWR it is still one of the 3 routes I use most often. I think it is the atmosphere of the railway that is the main draw for me.

Hi Martin, I was not aware these carriages had such long buffers. I think I need to learn every day a little more about English rolling stock. I''ll manage to apply the measures you advise me. Concerning the Bala route, if I have understood eveything (??), the CD version I got last week was the ver...

Piston animation won't work Help please

I have been using 3dcanvas to do a new model of my King (originally done in TSM) with LODs and the model is complete I have Paul's rod animator and in 3dcanvas and Paul's Sview the rods and wheels all spin nicely with the couping rods and piston doing what they should. However the crunch comes when ...

Nice shots, Although many GWR practices by the BR days were no longer observed it was customary whenever possible for the senior loco when double heading to be on the front. I was going to say that, otherwise great shots. I am not sure that the Cambrian Coast line was ever double red but it looks g...

Re: i would like osme loco's (steam)

Hi, I own the SVR add-on. I am somewhat dissapointed that some locos have not been added. These include: BR Standard 4mt or 5mt (cnt remember!) 75069 4-6-2 Westcountry Pacific 34027 "Taw Valley" (appearing at the moment as 34045 "Ottery St. Mary") and 4-6-2 60009 Union of South Africa. I know that ...

Don't forget that although the GWR was one of the big four that it was also a pre-group company too. Most of the GWR rolling stock I have uploaded are from pre-grouping prototypes.

Great work as Usual Gordon (despite its LMSish non GWR look!) what a fantastic route system this now is with such varied location and feel.

A taper is a cone type of shape. Look at the Loco.ace of Hinton Manor from the SVR set and you will see what I mean. The front end of the boiler is about the same as the smokebox, anf the back end is bigger, with the firebox sloping up and outwards from back to front in order to accommodate the lar...

Matthew, Both topics covered in tutorials & previous threads! The wheels.rot in TSM doesn't work - it introduces a spurious rotation. For convenience use the animation of the sample 0-6-0 - both 8 & 16 point rotation values have been published on this forum. The "can't add.." could be almost anythi...

Re: Editing .eng files problem

For some unknown reason, when I open an .eng file to edit it and then re-save it, it is saved as a text document. It's opened as a unicode file, and on saving I am given the save screen with the 'Save as type' as encoded text. The file name is given as (for example) 44871.eng. The file appears with...
