Are those default buildings in the background Robin, they don't look familiar? Or have you been busy with yet other new stuff.... On the names side I have to say that Temeraire is one of my all time favourite warship names. The buildings are not mine, they are on the ECML route. Temeraire is a good...

depending on the severity of the angle the photo was taken from. It is possible to use the 'distort' function found in some of the photo editors like photoshop and paintshop pro. This allows the image to have the perspective (or the area you are interested in) effectively removed from the photo. the...

GWR The Great bear evolution loco part 2
Just a about finished now. As far as naming goes I think I will settle on RN Warships for the series. I know there was a diesel warship class built on the western region later but they could have taken the names from the steam locos as they were scraped. I am not sure which I will pick probably Drea...

This one, (seen in the current issue of Rail, so copyright Rail, and err, no using it for anything else, etc etc...) shows a bridge near Ely, in Cambridgeshire... I am not sure that one counts as before you enjoyed all the marvelous and oily under belly of the train you would have drowned! :P I agr...

I think its pretty much horses for courses on this one. There is some great stuff available for a wide range of railways and companies on train-sim. I know the forums can get a bit of a problem on train-sin.com but we have experienced issues here too. In my experience I have found most people to be ...

Ah now there's a thought perhaps not 'Titanic' but a name series of Cunard ships or warships something like that. Although I guess if I went for Cunard ships it would be Queens, like Queen Mary etc. Al ot of the old GW names are Greek in origin so a scan through the mythology books might prove usefu...

I look forward to downloading and playing with the new loco. There are alternative passenger GW locos available and on this site. from myself there is The Great Bear The City of Truro and their is also two branch line suburban passenger tanks, a county tank and a small prairie from other uploaders. ...

I have had fifteen of the MSTS default LNER coaches going over the default orient express route from Innsbruck to St Anton without trouble apart from afore mentioned wheel slip. It has power to spare. in full manual mode it needs care to fire properley. At low speeds its quite easy to loose fire tem...

Big! Big? MAJESTIC I should say. It is a large loco and would definetley be the biggest loco in service on the GWR. But overall the dimensions are similar to a King. It uses the King front bogie and fits (just!) within the standard loading guage. The driving wheels are smaller (by 3" diam) and...

From the ashes of The Great Bear....
I still Haven't decided on what to call it but have used 'Excalibur' as illustration. I do need a series though and characters from the Arthurian legend would do or other cornish names as in the Duke Class which were I think all gone by this time (circa 1946). I'll do the first in late GW but if it ...

Robin, you'll have to get a black GW marked tarp cover for the bed! Good idea Martin. I was thinking about changing the colour to black. Iguess I could make some templates and spray some white letters. Wehay! Has it got 'Palethorpe's sausages on the other side Not quite but I've eaten a few. I had ...

GWR 2-2-0 Morris Minor?
Evidence has come to light in Northampton that the GWR was the first to design the morris minor. Here's a photo to prove it! <IMG width="1073" height="532" SRC="http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic.php/28324/gwmm.jpg"> and BTW the GWR shirt button is not faked it really is on the car.
