Re: Raildriver calibration

I just remembered something you may want to check if it's on any Windows 64 bit addition, I figure dthis out and posted on a previous thread. Just found something else that has made a HUGE difference, my calibration was not really calibrating fully as one of the calibration files used is in the Prog...

That's why I would really encourage changing to a 64 bit platform.

Re: Steam Sounds Supreme Poll

Something NOT Brittish... :D I know I know this is Brit site. But man I really am constantly heart broken for the lack of support for the most common US Locos...it seems whenever they do release a US loco it's always some huge west coast MONSTER, that might be cool and all but just isn't the sort of...

64 bit is huge, and I am pretty sure if you upgrade oen thing it should be ram... (under 64 bit) getting past the 4gb really 3gb limit is likely going to net you the biggest increase. Also what are you running in background? for instance do you have Anti Virus going? If so which kind? AV can really ...

Re: US- Southern #630 2-8-0 ALCO Consolidation class. Mar. 2013

Some excellent footage posted on Youtube by one of the Chasers last Saturday. Those guys are crazy, I wonder how many speeding tickets they get? I esp love the footage at 15:23 with snow coming down. Snow in the South Eastern U.S. is like Unicorns, it doesn't matter if it sticks around, just that yo...

Re: US- Southern #630 2-8-0 ALCO Consolidation class. Mar. 2013

Got just a tad bit of video while I was out, forgot I brought it most of the time, wa smore busy with son, and juggling 2 yr old. My editing deshaker (mercalli) is refusing to work with new cpu so it's shakey, letting youtube edit shakiness (fingers naively crossed), Not sure what YT will do to it, ...

Re: Ideal computer for Trainsimulator 2013

Some more rambling thoughts.... I really can't say what all is being boosted by OS on SSD. If I were to hedge a guess. I think the reason it helps to be on OS drive more in regards to frame rates to be honest is, just that the background services and OS running on a bloated platform take more away f...

Re: Chattanooga modern and historic photos.

Union Depot......arguably the true Chattanooga ChooChoo that was torn down around 1970..... The Chattanooga Choo Choo is not a place in truth, it was the name for the train that went from Cinncinati to Chattanooga, so Arguably the Union Depot has a Stronger claim. The the Union Depot sadly is gone.....

TennBridge Tenbridge is a vertical-lift railroad bridge over the Tennessee River. It has a main span of 310 feet (94 m), and is one of the longest vertical lift spans in the United States. The original span was a swing span with a center pivot that was originally built in ca. 1879/1880. It was repla...

Re: Ideal computer for Trainsimulator 2013

Pagefile? What pagefile? :D I disabled that once I got SSD.....there's two schools on that as well....I haven't seen any performance diff either way, but it reduces wear on the SSD. It may not matter anymore with SSD technology now, but as it has not caused issues, I keep it off. In the post 32 bit ...
