Re: Shaders, mipmaps and complicated stuff

Doesn't seem to like me... it refuses to map either the TrDiff or TrainEmissiveGlow shaders that I've used, although Tex works fine... Is there something I've forgotten to do?

Any help appreciated. :)

Re: Shaders, mipmaps and complicated stuff

Thanks all! :) I had seen the blog entry, but as several things seemed to have changed with TS2014, I didn't know how current the information in it was. I have followed such instructions and have successfully created a glowing orb... :D Thanks for the heads-up on the short-hand shader names, I have ...

Shaders, mipmaps and complicated stuff

Hello there! :) I have created a simple low poly representation of the walkway lamps at the Ashford Hitachi Depot in Blender 2.49b, which I have textured and set up the materials for. I'd like now to add some effects, which is where I become stumped. I'd quite like to give it a light effect so it il...

Re: Custom Signal Problem

Thanks for the help! I now have the indicator indicating for the siding. In the end I found the code for the indicator when used as a proper "call on" indicator and edited a copy of that to be triggered by the route being set to connection 1. :) The signal was originally "UKpro 4A TH3 C" from the UK...

Custom Signal Problem

I have created a representation of AD 665, the Ashford International Platform 6 Down Starter, which has a 4 Aspect Controlled signal, theatre route indicator, OFF indicator for the Up Starter (I assume) and Call on signal. http://i56.servimg.com/u/f56/17/02/65/21/2013-111.jpg (Clicking the image wil...

Re: Cab Sway

If you select the section of track you wish to edit the cab sway on and look in the track properties tab on the right, the last box with the funny squiggly line is the "Unevenness" box. In here you can set a value for how wobbly the track is. Most routes set this to 20 (Horseshoe Curve, London to Br...

Re: Missing Google Map overlay

Try choosing a lower zoom level and higher resolution to make up for lack of detail. The same message pops up when no imagery is available at that zoom level for the area. :) I personally have been using 1280x1280, zoom level 17 and 3x3 for my tests at Ashford which is sufficient to make out most po...

Re: Problem with DEM in TS2014

Try using this DEM data from the UKTS library. Just download the corresponding area according to your route and drop the files in: Railworks, DEM. Thanks, I will do and see if that works any better. :) Having lived and worked in Ashford, on the CTRL project, Ashford itself is fairly flat, or reason...

Problem with DEM in TS2014

Hello all, I have read most of the information I could find on this forum about DEM data, but I still cannot seem to get it into the editor. I downloaded data for the area I am trying to model (Ashford International, N51E051) from here and have a route with the origin set to Ashford International, w...

Re: Question about Semephore Signalling

At a diverging point, either a junction signal will be used, or if the line is simply for shunting, a shunt signal will control that direction.
Have a read here: http://www.signalbox.org/signals/semaphore6.htm. Should tell you what you need to know. :)

There is a section near the bottom of the blueprint for a "display name". :)

Re: Creating a track rule.

You either need to start from scratch in the Blueprint Editor in the railworks directory, or edit an existing one in Notepad or other equivalent. I suggest you do a forum search and have a read... like me, because I'm in the same position. ;)

This looks very nice and promising :)
Good luck with this, which modelling program are you using for the buildings?
