Re: British Train Drivers Handbook?
There's plenty of railways that do diesel experiences. You can buy the 1950s rulebook easily, and the majority of them remain valid today, though are numbered differently. I'm not sure it would help you that much in game - its more to do with processes and rules rather than driving techniques. You ...

Re: British Train Drivers Handbook?
You will not get hold of anything like what you want. There is a publication with technical details for examle for the Class 66 but they are private and not for public dissemination.I suggest you buy yourself a train driving experience with one of the preserved railways. There is in circulation the B...

Excellent DVDs but bear in mind that stuff wasn't recorded on HD Video in those days so the footage is as good as that which was shot at the time.

British Train Drivers Handbook?
Is there an equivalent of the British Highway Code for train drivers? I think it would make for a fascinating read and may improve my skills in Railworks 3
Does anyone know if this exists and if it is available publicly?
Thanks

Im looking for some good British Railway documentaries, not about steam locomotives but diesels and modern trains and after looking for ages I can't seem to find any. Does anyone know of any good documentaries or tv shows about British trains?
Thanks

Re: Railworks Class 66
Damn, so the only Class 66s are old versions. Wish id done a bit of research into them then, im also getting a weird speed bug with my 66 where i apply the brakes and release and the train speeds up ridiculously fast afterwards.

Railworks Class 66
I was debating whether to get the Just Trains 66 or the Railworks 66. In the end i went with the Railworks one as it had more scenarios but im finding the quality of the train itself a lot poorer and I am now regretting the decision. Certain details that were great in the Just Trains 67 are missing ...

Re: General Electrical Goods
Its hard to say, i can't actually remeber the location of it. I remeber there was a motorway running along the left hand side of the track before the bend, and that it was really steep downhill. The train was getting thrown around a bit, maybe it was just a dodgy bit of track, who knows. Im not comp...

I was in a Class 70 for quite a while on this scenario drove about 46 miles, and at one point around a bend the train just de railed due to 'consist tilt'. I wasn't speeding, the track speed limit was 90mph and i was doing just under 75mph as i noticed 75mph is the max for the class 70. The ride was...

I got train simulator 2012 on steam the other day for £2, honestly i made fun of it and thought it would be dreadful but i was pleasantly suprised at how good it is and how much fun ive had doing a few routes! Anyway im a bit stuck with signals, how do i know when the signal will turn red and where ...
