Re: 3 car Class 150 sets
In fact as these units are considered non-standard London Midland have use of them for free, also of note when we do eventually get the 172's will continue to use scud 1 and 2 for the foreseeable future!!! The other 150's being cascaded to FGW Yes, that is correct, as i believe it is seen that as t...

Re: 3 car Class 150 sets
001 and 002 also have smaller fuel tanks than the rest of the fleet, which was why they were being considered for withdrawl earlier this year, before the class 172 exhaust debarcle.
002 is still i believe a regular performer on the Worcester runs. (every time im in that area, i always see it anyway)

Re: 3 car Class 150 sets
yes, 150001 and 002 are the original three car units with a proper centre car (and were for a time 154s) Most of the 150s you are on about still operate the worcester - Snow Hill - Straford area trains and yes, the centre car direction depends on what was used and which way round the unit was. Eithe...

No, its still the same spec as a 50/0. Its just numbered as a 50/1 as 501xx was only used as for freight. so since its in a freight livery...
The same happened with 50017 when it was painted in RF Speedlink Trainload livery and was numbered as 50117

Re: LO Class 172's
Will the London Midland 172/3 and 172/2 sound like this? Also Lm's will have a top speed of 100mph so a engine like that is going to be pretty bad! I hope they don't sound like that!!! Its hard to say. I believe Chiltern and London Midland have refused the class 172 units untill all the problems wi...

i see that three ex celebrity locos are up for grabs, 56006, 56078 and 60081.
Yes, it seems the best of the class 56s DBS had, and the worst of the 60s are up for sale

Re: DB Shenker are selling......
The 60s are good locos. From a driver or two ive spoken to, they prefer the 60s over the 66s. Its just a shame that EWS/DBS didnt look after them that well (well, like most of their other older locos
)
