Re: Open Beta to test Fix for Wandering Passengers (and more)
Just been giving this beta a test using my TrackIR 5 and this is more like it, it works flawlessly, the sim has full 6dof support as well. I've been toying with the idea of getting Track IR. Is it worth it? If you like a lot of realism in the simulations you play on your pc then most certainly it's...

I've never been able to fix the fps dips that you mention you cured for while by changing some nvidia settings and believe I messed with them enough but eventually gave up and just put up with it, the fps dips are worse on the highly detailed routes and I do have the sim installed on an ssd. System ...

Well I didn't say the way I was using a ramdisk was an ideal solution for most but for me it worked and worked well, plus I have an app installed on my pic that makes using symbolic links a breeze instead of having to use the command prompt which would have made the process a lot more tedious I admi...

I even pointed JT to a website that lists detailed info about the real voyager, including braking performance, which their model doesn't even come close to matching but JT are still adamant their model has realistic brakes according to the real life drivers they say tested their model. Sent from my ...

Re: Re: RAM drive for TS
This doesn't seem to lend itself well to TS20xx, however, at least in no way I can envisage; it's simply too large. My installation has got to the point that I've pretty much filled a 120GB SSD with it and am having to cull lesser-used assets and routes just to contain it all. The core components a...

Re: Re:
Was it really any difference to an SSD? Well when I used a ramdisk with this sim I was using a standard hdd at the time so the improvement with the tile loading stutter/pauses etc was all too clear to see, it was virtually eliminated by using the ramdisk but ssd's are fast enough to cope with the c...

Used to use a ramdisk before I got my first ssd, I used the dataram free version linked above. Got 16gb installed so I setup a 4gb ram drive, obviously can't fit all of ts2015 so I moved all the assets for the route/scenario I wanted to play to the ramdisk and used symbolic links so the game could f...

Hi All I have been offered by a friend at work a new PC with an AMD FX-8350 chip. Does anyone have any idea as to how good this chip would be please? I have a bottle neck at the mo my new Grpahics Card GTX 760 is not working all that efficiently in the current machine and the idea is to swap it to ...

Re: Re: Just Trains Newcastle to Edinburgh - Now Available
The voyagers brakes barely seem to work it's very hard to get it to stop. There's a fix in the download library somewhere, sorry I don't know what the file number is, I edited the bin to match the prototypical braking info I found online for the real thing. JT still say their model has the correct ...

Can't say I've noticed the lack of animation when using the brakes but I think this is the same route that I contacted dtg about a while ago concerning the hst that's included with the route as the brakes aren't notched like they should be. I may have got the routes mixed up, haven't played the sim ...

Re: Re: Performance dipping every couple of minutes
It runs between 25-30 normally, then drops to 15 (but may be lower? I've never seen the FPS display go below 15, even on my old PC which was very slow). I've had that fps dip issue in this sim for as long as I can remember, how bad it is depends on the route, some are worse than others. There's not...
