Re: TS2013 and EFX Audio Issues
I wonder just what could be causing this? Are any others of you that have had missing 3D positional sounds also using AP Sound Packs? Cheers. As a matter of fact I was testing the hst with the valenta & mtu pro ap sound packs, both have no 3d positional sounds with the openal soft dll, I have other...

Re: TS2013 and EFX Audio Issues
Ok an update, so OpenAL32.dll from the syswow64 doesn't work as I'd already tried that, still get a bsod when exiting and what I also just noticed when using that file, 3d positional sound is working but I'm getting no reverb/occlusion sounds etc and when copying wrap_aol.dll over to the railworks f...

Re: TS2013 and EFX Audio Issues
Nice tip but I had already tried copying openal32.dll from the syswow64 folder, with the same crash but what I hadn't tried was to copy the `wrap_oal.dll` file over to the railworks folder and rename it to openal32.dll (railworks actually uses the wrapper file, rsc just renamed it to OpenAL32.dll) &...

Re: TS2013 and EFX Audio Issues
You are not alone Smartie, I have exactly the same issue. If I use anything other than the railworks supplied version of OpenAl32.dll placed in the railworks folder I get bsod as soon as I end a scenario or try to go into the editor. Strangely enough it does work up until that point and did actuall...

Re: TS2013 and EFX Audio Issues
How strange ? working perfectly for me in all aspects? You think that's strange, it appears I can't use any other OpenAl32.dll except the one that came with ts2012 or ts2013, if I try to use a new version of openal32 I'm met with a blue screen of death everytime I exit the game, without fail, I've ...

Re: TS2013 and EFX Audio Issues
Hi Mate, The reason this renaming or removing of OpenAL32.dll in your game directory works is because you will have Creative's OpenAL installed somewhere else. Most likely in X:\Windows\System32 or X:\Windows\SysWOW64 for those of you are using Win7 64bit. In this case the railworks.exe program jus...

Re: TS2013 and EFX Audio Issues
I believe the reason this openal is working fine on your D2X cards is due to the fact that those cards only emulate eax/efx, they can't do it through hardware like the x-fi cards, still with the track record creative have for updating their drivers (if indeed it turned out to be an issue with the cr...

Re: TS2013 and EFX Audio Issues
Scratch what I said, directional sound isn't working, weirdly it seems to for certain sounds, for alot it doesn't! I say it works for some as I had the camera view on one of the platforms at paddington and I could clearly hear rolling stock approaching from the left or right, yet I've just had a go ...

Re: Thanks to everyone involved
Well the general reaction to this 2013 release is a tad different to the reception the 2012 release had that's for sure! So far I'm liking it, some issues with the sound but the performance increase is a big plus, like the OP I'd more or less given up on ts2012 due to the rubbish fps on my top end p...

Re: No Wheelslip in RW2013?
Did a run with a class 150 in the snow and due to my rubbish driving I had a ton of wheel slip, so yep I'd say it's just you

Re: TS2013 and EFX Audio Issues
I find it curious why that would even work now considering alchemy is for intercepting directsound calls and the game now uses openal, even copying the openal dll from a 2012 install won't change that as the sound change is in the core code. I also don't have problems with directional sound on my x-...

Re: Re: Train Simulator 2013

I have same...

Re: Train Simulator 2013
One issue I'm hearing since updating to this new 2013 version is sound hiss when certain sounds are playing, just had a go with a scenario that uses the HST using the mtu pro soundpack by ap and there's hiss when the ping sound plays when you approach a green signal, also when using the wipers, with...

Re: Train Simulator 2013
so far I'm liking this new version, I'm seeing a huge fps increase over the previous 2012 version! Take the hst scenario on Just Trains SCEML route, I used to suffer a huge fps drop on approach to haymarket, fps dipped to around 8-10fps making it unplayable and I didn't even have everything maxed in...

Re: Re: Stop Scenery Loading Stuttering ?
Yes I know how ramdisks work ...... I wasn't doubting that, but there are many reading these forums who don't and could take your post in the slightly 'wrong light'; particularly those with enormous asset folders who could then think they'd need ridiculous amounts of memory to fit it all on. Sorry ...
