Looking forward to this route, just wish it went further to at least Plymouth, all the way down to Penzance would be even better as that's the usual route I travel, from Weston down to St Ives & being able to drive down to penzance would be awesome

It sounds like the dip you get when loading up scenery tiles as scenery is not loaded at a set distance from the train and when you hit a certain point all of a sudden the game loads a 1km by 1km (I think) tile and that splurge of asset loading causes it - and then at the next kilometre. If you can find a V4 device I'd say snap it up, for one it's cheaper than the new V5 and imo V5 offers very little over V4 which is why I've never bothered upgrading my TIR4 device.michaeldono wrote:Well in that case what device is best that has TrackIR? Might just have sorted my problems as well, the bsod issues in game weren't down to 32/64 bit versions of the dll which I thought might have been the cause, in my case disabling the xram on my x-fi titanium sound card has cured the bsod issue, by digging around a bit on google it appears this is the...

Eventually I found one setup that worked perfectly. I renamed the openal32.dll in the Railworks folder so that it wouldn't be used and Windows would do it's own thing (presumably use the one in systemWOW as I have Win7 64). A little update, well that 1.15.1 release of OpenAL soft sorts the 3d positional sounds but it also causes SBHH errors, just tested some scenarios with the version of the dll that came with ts2013 and the crashes were gone, so either there's an issue with how the sim interacts with the latest versio...

Had an update to ts2013 tonight on steam, dunno if that sorted out the positional audio problems when using openal soft but I also installed the new 1.15.1 version of Openal soft dll prior to testing the sim after the steam update and I'm happy to report I now have fully working 3d positional sounds.
