Re: GNR Derbyshire and Staffordshire Extension info
It's been a while since I posted an update but, never fear, work is continuing. The trouble is the area I'm working on - between Cotmanhay and Ilkeston Junction station. It's the most densely developed area I've tried to reproduce and I'm finding it difficult to get my head round some parts of it. E...

Re: DTG Gospel Oak - Barking Line
I was. I even checked that it knew I bought NLL and that shows as being in my library.brummie wrote:If you make sure you are logged in to the Steam Store when you visit that site then the discount should be shown as it will recognise you already own the NLL.

Re: DTG Gospel Oak - Barking Line
I have the North London Line but the Goblin Line only appears as a stand-alone in the store at a price of £25. How are people getting the version that comes at a reduced price?

Re: AI triggered by distance from player service, and not time
I've never tried this, though I'd definitely like to, but I can't work out from the discussion whether you need just a distance or a distance and a time. If it's the second, I wonder whether the time should be used to "wake" the AI consist so that it waits for the distance trigger rather than being ...

Re: GNR Derbyshire and Staffordshire Extension info
Sorry, Coops. Somehow I missed your post. The LNER used two colour schemes for its buildings. The earlier was brown and stone and the second was green and stone and they changed over in mid-1937. I've read that buildings were painted every twenty years or so and it may well be that stations along th...

Re: AI engine wont uncouple
Two things strike me: Does the entire train, including the engine, fit inside the platform marker? TS can be very finicky about that with AI and won't do things that a player could easily do. Some couplings simply don't like working together. I've had Kuju and non-Kuju couplings behave this way, for...

Nick Hudson (brysonman46) has done the swap for me. Thanks for all of the responses.

Swapping lofts.
Just on the Ilkeston side of Bennerley viaduct the line crosses the Erewash Canal. We have the line of the canal in place but, doing some work there for the first time in a very long time, I've realised that the loft that's been used is for a canal like the Aire & Calder and not one for a British na...

Re: Having a problem with some addon routes
The Utilities program is in the top level of the Railworks folder, alongside the game executable. Most of us use it fairly regularly so it's best to set up a shortcut on your desktop so you don't have to keep ferreting through the folder tree to find it. Click on it, accept the warning about running...

Re: Class 76 bogie placement
Click on the bogie that's the wrong way round and you should see an orange arrow appear above it. Clicking on the arrow will reverse the bogie, as it will any item of rolling-stock. If you place a consist and it's the wrong way round do the same thing but hold down the Shift key as you select it. Th...

Re: GNR Derbyshire and Staffordshire Extension info
Here is the Mark II version of the engine house, taking all the comments and the information from the new photo into account. The smoke is from the RSC Woodhead 8F and the steam is Richard Maxted's Small Steam emitter from his Manifold Valley Clutter pack. I just love the pattress plates for the wal...

Re: Vanishing scenery items (still there, low LOD)
It may be my age(!) but I did not realise initially that the example given is for changing the number only for assets with an LOD of 1. You have to run the routine over and over again for increasing LOD numbers until you reach your minimum setting.

Re: Vanishing scenery items (still there, low LOD)
Does this mod ensure that assets placed after the change has been made will be given an LOD no lower than the minimum chosen or does it only apply to those already placed? Keith In answer to my own question, no it doesn't affect new placements. It may make all the existing assets show up but it does...

Re: SFR Mainline v2...WOW !
I've had this on my computer, which normally handles TS with no problems. There are a few scenarios that hit some kind of graphical limit and the only way to make it work is to reduce the amount of graphics the game has to handle by lowering the quality. There's a RosGar scenario for the S&D that be...

Re: GNR Derbyshire and Staffordshire Extension info
The height of the tank is important because it means the water-cranes don't need pumps to give a high flow-rate. Within limits, the higher the better. The Victorians usually over-engineered their constructions, by modern standards, and they would not expect to have to do much maintenance for decades...
