Dee to Don: Darren Harvey's Aberdeen Angus
Rose & Gareth have posted UKTS 32714, 'A scenario for the Angus Route Dundee to Montrose http://caledonianrailworks.blogspot.co.uk/ '. This led me to a very pleasant new route by Darren Harvey on the aforementioned website; it currently links Dundee and Montrose (yes, it's golfing country :-)) but, ...

Re: Train sim 2014 settings problem
Many thanks for this thread! I inadvertantly reset my screen resolution to a configuration where the 'Settings' button was inaccessible (just off the RH side...). Even if I scrolled my monitor to its maximum lateral position... Replacing PlayerProfiles.bin fixed it instantly. (And, yes, I did rename...

France: Ligne du Mont Blanc
Sunday was a busy day on railsim-fr, with two new routes appearing. One was 'Africa' (see separate thread), the other was another upland branch line from Richard Garcia (or is it Garcia Richard?). Mont Blanc is a metre gauge line, only the second (as far as I know) to provide employment for the narr...

Africa: Well, Wadi y'know! Maur(itania) from Zawal...
Zawal has produced yet another interestingly different route. (Remember the Caribbean one?) 'Africa' is at http://www.railsim-fr.com/forum/index.php?s=28a9a231d1a6a7523d23c60f4e442670&app=downloads&showfile=755 and is loosely based on the Mauritanian Railway, which Wikipedia will tell you all about....

Strassenbahn - It's Croydon, Jim, but not as we know it...
Those new routes keep coming! On Rail-sim.de you will find - at http://rail-sim.de/railsimnew/index.php/downloadscat/viewdownload/74/2032 - a new scenario for a Croydon tram. It's on a recently developed route - Strassenbahn - which I hadn't come across. However, there's a reference to the route's w...

Strong the nitpicking in this thread is... Here are some (helpful? :-) )l facts. San Diego is 5,400 kilometres from Puerto Rico. Ipswich is 6,800 kilometres from Puerto Rico. Han(n)over is 7,500 kilometres from Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is at the eastern end of the Caribbean, ie the end nearest to E...

... Which brings us to the choice of rolling stock... Kuju default blue/grey coaches and an S&D 2-8-0 (even a blue one) don't quite do it for me. I think I'll wheel out the Durango & Silverton (bright yellow) rake complete with Mikado... Or a Picasso? Or maybe some of those rainbow-coloured ES44's f...

Railsim.fr has a new route by Zawal - it's a Caribbean fantasy and totally delightful. Download (@ http://www.railsim-fr.com/forum/index.p ... owfile=746) and enjoy!
(And there's a Wagener QD also available on Railsim.fr.)
Kind regards, John M
And many thanks, Zawal!

Re: DPSimulation Sale
I note that the reference codes of the scenario packs seems to have changed; I have a 'DPS-SP01' from an earlier date which seems to be approximately the same as the current 'DPS-SP05', viz ECML_NE - Blue Era. Bu, hey, who's worried, these are cheap as chips, but MUCH more satisfying ... :-) so I bo...

Re: .AP files for reskins
For those who, unlike the initiator of this thread, are relatively new to RW/TS, it may be worth suggesting that, when you extract the contents of a .ap file, you do so to a sub-folder that will not be loaded with your route or scenario. As an example, you might create an Asset sub-folder called 'RS...
