Re: RWA Donationware Route - Lakeside

This is indeed a very pleasant route, offering interesting scenarios in a rural setting with industrial rail-users all needing your attention. And it installs easily with (for me) just one texture file missing (and probably discoverable elsewhere). If $15 seems a little bit more than you wanted to p...

Re: Getting older third party routes to run

Hmmm... That reminds me... I have a couple of routes (one being Hayling Island) which still load and run but with everything except steam blacked out. Which is an interesting novelty effect but not quite what I'd hoped for. I think this was something that resulted from a change when TS2013 was intro...

Four for starters - and all worth having...

South Devon Banks? North Lincolnshire Lines? Birmingham 2010? Four Counties?

Re: .bat file to reduce cpu overload

Or you could try increasing your RAM... I'm no IT expert, but I've found that scenarios that staggered and fell, such as almost anything I built on El Gran Norte, ran well when I added some more RAM. As far I as I can see, with more RAM in hand, the processors have a lot less work to do coping with ...

Re: Netherlands: Den Helder to Heerhugowaard

Hmmm....
Brug Alkmaar (Alkmaar bridge) is on http://www.Treinpunt.nl in the download section.
I can see an MSTS vesrion - and there are two MSTS versions on Coha.nl - but I can't see an RW/TS version. Can anyone help Daft Wally?

Kind regards,

Netherlands: Den Helder to Heerhugowaard

Another Dutch route has appeared on TreinPunt.nl. And, yes, there are a couple of scenarios! Loaded without problems. Free-roam runs without problem. Not looked any further yet, as there's just too much pouring into the freeware world at the moment (for which my thanks to all concerned!). I'm short ...

I'd just like to add my thanks to the chorus - a very nice route! (And installed without fuss or problem...)

Re: Paris Montparnasse /St-Pierre des Corps

I agree that NEF works, and at a reasonable pace, but the 'asset density' is not very high, I seem to remember. There's also a lightly populated early Dutch route (Groningen?) of considerable length. El Gran Norte's builders are apparently aiming for 1,000 route kilometres, and that route is not spa...

Spain: El Gran Norte (Barcelona - Tarragona)

Yet another Spanish route - and it's big, very big... And it's still only a partial beta... Once again, it's on Railsim.es, available to anyone who registers on the site. The download (route plus assets) is a mere 3.8 GB (yes, that's GB). There are - according to RW_Tools - a few missing assets (abo...

Spain - again... Malaga to Bobadilla

This is an new version of the Malaga-Alora route, extended west and north through a rather fine mountain gorge to Bobadilla (aka Boadilla). There are free roam scenarios for the new-ish UT470 EMU. I suspect that existing scenarios may fail on the new version of the route - best to keep a clone of th...

Re: Aberdeen Angus - Missing Assets

I can help a bit. The seven assets whose file names start 'a25_' are in the 'Scenery' folder inside the 'Bristol_Exeter_1' folder. They can be copied to the equivalent position in 'ModernObjects'. We now know the livestock was omitted by accident, so that narrows down the search list a little... Kin...

Re: The "Coaster" project at Dovetail...

I put the same question through the 'Engine Driver' site; never saw a response. Bombardier Bi-Levels are operated by a number of carriers - see http://www.bombardier.com/en/transportation/projects/project.bilevel-canada-usa.html for details. I can see that there's a difficulty choosing an appropriat...
