Turbostars my arse!

Of the two Modern Units I've had the priviledge to travel on I would have to give the class 170 a massive thumbs down. After travelling from Lancaster to Picadilly on a super smooth 175, transfering to a Central Trains 170 to Sheffield was a real eye opener. They're not exactly bad, but a one hour j...

Woodhead

I tend to stick to the Woodhead route mainly as, apart from Albula, its the only realistic route I've managed to get hold of. Most of the others either two big, somewhere I don't know, or steam based, which doesn't pull my chain. I love the woodhead route mainly because its elecric, but also because...

SYPTE

I have a request, though its slightly odd and ever so slightly fictional. Round about 1987/88 when the South Yorkshire PTE was having a spate of new station building, they released a couple of pamphlets and time tables with an artists impression of a 150/2 on the front. The unit was carrying the col...

I just don't get it.

Have just reinstalled Train Sim (again) having not used it for almost three months. All is well until I try to create a new consist in the editor. Without warning, up pops the dreaded 'Ha Ha, your game just crashed!' message. Not being incedibly computer literate I've exhausted all my avenues of inv...

City Clipper

A City Clipper Leyland bendy bus, the original UK articulated fleet, would come in really useful. Also the Stoatcage Express bendy coaches would be good, if you're up to it. Does anyone know if they still use bendy buses in Sheffield, I can't remember noticing any the last time I was there? Regards....

Doh!

How embarassing  I'd noticed a distinct lack of any photos of Barnsley under the wires, but it never occured to me that Barnsley wasn't included. The Woodhead was way before my time and I'd never really researched it. Doh! Oh well, Tracky still dominated from Penistone to Wath so there is stil...

Silly Newbie type question

I've finally re-installed MSTS after a comprehensive system clear out and down grade to Win98 (ME sucks), but for some reason its only given me the Trainsim desktop icon, nothing to lauch the editors. I know virtually nothing about computers. How do I get the editor shortcut?

Please help

Much better

Thats a lot better thanks. I'm still toying with the idea of upgrading, but I'm moving home soon so I don't want to pay the activation fee twice. I'm far too tight for that :o

Certainly is a high quality model though.

Barnsley bus station

SteveN Looking very good. Can't wait to see Barnsley Station, and in a small way I might be able to help, if I can pull my finger out. I happen to have a few EFE Yorkshire Traction buses suitable for the period (plus a Sheffield Urban Transport Coach), a copy of TSM, and a mate with a digital camera...

I'll say one thing about Trainz, the vegetation is very lush looking, but i suppose the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence

Stockport...

Why stop at Stockport, its only a stone's throw from Crewe, by then you'll be close enough to spit on Watford and we'll have the southern WCML as a bonus siding

Excellent

Looking very very very good Steve. I look forward to this one. Can I ask for a small addition  For the purpose of AI services in activities, could the Stockport spur at Picadilly be made a little longer, and maybe add a few extra signals? This allows Picadilly to be a hive of activity on a sl...
