A direct service between Lancaster and Doncaster would have been handy, preferably via Manchester. Maybe Morecambe to Cleethorpes via Sheffiled.

A route I tried to bulid to build for MSTS before I got fed up.

Cab too high!

Hello Is there a way for me to change the position of the camera in the cab view mode as in many of the locomotives I have downloaded the cab appears to be much higher than any of the other rolling stock. It destroys the illusion of driving a British train if I can see over the roof of an adjacent t...

I am working with a route that is not where it should be for my purposes. I don't need the track data, just the scenic items and terrain. I considered renaming the files but that seemed just that little bit too easy. I will give it a try. Thanks for the advice, though I will probably be back for mor...

World Tile question.

Is there a utility out there that allows the contents of one tile, i.e. topography and scenic objects to be copied from one tile to another? I have a need to know.

Regards

Merging Routes

Merging routes aint easy but it can be done, the way I do it involves adding the route folders of one route in to that of a larger one, but because the track databases (to the best of knowledge) cannot be merged, it menas having to relay all of the track on the smaller route, which is no mean feat, ...

Did no-one else notice the rather appropriate spelling error in that report?

However, in a statement on NTL's authorised customer gripes site ntlhellworld.com, the company said the "vast majority" of users "will not be affected by this at all".

I expect more from the Beeb.

Spads and Temporary Speed restrictions.

I'm experimenting with activities on the Woodhead Route and have struct a problem. I keep finding temporary speed restrictions of 0mph. These are nowhere to be found in the activity editor so I have increased the temp speed restriction in the route editor to 220mph (to be on the safe side). This mak...

Ooh! Just thought of something else. I hope I don't sound negative because this route is great, its the only one that ever inspired me to even attempt activity creation, unfortunately I'm coming to learn of its short comings, but anyway... Penistones' most southerly platform is missing a marker, don...

Oh no I'm too late...

Darn it Steve, You're just too efficient . I just came here to suggest another sight alteration at Penistone :D but you're too quick for me :o On the approach the approach to Penistone from the east, another set of points allowing access to the Westbound platforms without conflicting with Eastbound ...

'Racing'

I've been experimenting with activities and have found many places to race trains on the four track section. Perhaps a few activities starting from the east of Sheffield where you are over taken by another train as you start up, but you soon catch up with it before you reach Sheffield. Great fun, es...

I tried that, renaming the file to .exe, but the system then asks for something to open it with. The file size matches the description but they niether .exe nor .zip, they have no extension at all.

It very odd.

Thanx

Hello. The problem was indeed the graphics card, I have changed the texture files and all is now hunkidory, I now have a wonderful shiny pendolino.

Thanks for the advice.

File Library

There are some files in the download library that have no file extension. For example, the GNER Express 225, file ID: 3862 has nothing to identify it, it is simply called GNER. There are others, such as the Post Office HST et al, but I don't have a definitive list. Is my computer missing a vital com...

Ashburys

Once again, fantastic route Steve. Cheers. Apart from the dodgy signal at Penistone, which I've managed to avoid with careful routing of AI traffic, the only other problem I have encountered so far is a speed restriction of zero mph through Ashburys. This can be passed at upto 4mph, but it doesn't a...
