Re: New graphic and performance improvement mod
ttph The gpu tends to apply shaders, but the data has to be first processed by the cpu. So if you do not have a balanced system the cpu may throttle the gpu. What ever happens in computing the gpu cannot act until receives data (fast enough) from the cpu. pH Thanks - so like shadows it increases lo...

Is SSAO mostly CPU or GPU?

Re: Thinking on upgrading GPU
I'd tend to agree with hstfan44. Your FX-8320 looks roughly equivalent (for TS20xx use) to the Core2 Duo I sold several years ago now, at about 2/3 the performance of my current (now several years old, released 2014) CPU. Have a look at your GPU usage while playing - unless it's mostly / always clos...

Re: Trains Simulator Issues
Some Dell laptops at least clock the CPU down if you connect a power supply that's lower rated than specified (but run at full performance on battery only). Faulty/failing power supply? Damaged power supply connector? (Dells use an extra centre pin to detect the PS rating.) Sent from my SM-G920F usi...

Train Maps Live and 64 bit
It appears, from a brief test, that Train Maps Live doesn't receive or recognise any data from TS 64bit.
IIRC this lovely little utility is no longer supported by its creator; but has anyone else looked into this?

Re: Trouble creating a scenario
Just for reference, it's not A1 (motorway? LNER Pacific?); it's AI for Artificial Intelligence (i.e. controlled by the computer rather than the player). Although Artificial Stupidity usually seems more appropriate!

Re: 7MT (Brit) Chiltern scenario
When I tried I had the cylinder drains open (I'm well trained, me!) but the limiting factor was adhesion - I had enough power to get the wheels spinning (unless I closed the drains when it wouldn't move forwards...). I wonder if there's a sweet spot with the drains open too. Sent from my SM-G920F us...

Re: Want to buy, but not sure if my laptop is good enough?
Looking at benchmarks comparing your system to the minimum spec, it does look like your laptop falls a little short, particularly the graphics card. CPU: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-7200U-vs-Intel-Core-i5-4690/m153577vs2311 GPU (note that yours and the spec are the other way ...

I'll check my version tomorrow, thanks; and try with those control settings. Maybe I was being heavy-handed...
Yes, having got up the hill the 5mph caught me out too! I found another unmarked restriction (I think) entering Banbury.

Re: Is there a fix the Class 68 Brakes?
Hmm, so now it returns to centre and doesn't have Emergency on the main brake control (fine). The HUD also displays 'Apply' or 'Release' as soon as the 'handle' moves off-centre - but the needle on the gauge doesn't move until it almost reaches the end of travel, after maybe half-a-second of keypres...

Re: DB BR407 Velero
I keep reading the title of this thread as "Velcro" :D Vaguely on-topic, I've mostly got the hang of PZB as implemented on DTG's Köln-Koblenz, and it does feel that whereas AWS / DVD are mostly there to help you, the German systems are there to catch you out... but perhaps with full EBuLa it works b...
