Laugh or you'd cry
Well we have the game itself full of bugs, then the Dev tools with bugs so the totaly frustrated user uninstalls rail simulator to rid themselves of it and the uninstaller has bugs   It would be really nice to have something released that puts a positive back into RS rather than one negati...

I wish they would sort out the multitude of problems with the European release before marketing another!

Re: Some experiences today
I was advised by another forum member to delete the Bristol portal then place a new one and call it Bristol, trouble was that it would not save the title Bristol obviously for the reason you have outlined thanks! Unfortunatley this does not correct the problem I have....I directed the AI train to th...

Re: Some experiences today
I tried deleting and renaming the Bristol portal on the S&D and put in a new one but it would not save as 'Bristol' and reverted back to the default title of portal 1. I Had an AI EXP leaving Bath and a AI goods leaving Radstock with a driver SP also leaving Bath. The AI EXP left Bath and an error m...

I hope you get a lot of fun out of it!
I have enjoyed it up to now but the scenario creation system is seriously making me think of using the disc as a drinks coaster!

Re: Warning: Path Grabbing
I'll try deleting the portal as mentioned. I did put a destination marker in prior to the portal and instructed the train to pass over it at 30 mph continuing to Bristol portal. My driver train was routed to Radstock. The AI train didn't move. So routed AI train to new Bristol destination marker onl...

Re: How RS can't simulate even basic train movements
I can't see the point of building a route if you can't create the simplest of scenario's to run on it. I have had three people new to rail simming who have been asking about RS for months and have been waiting to see what happens with the tools as they wanted to create their own scenarios etc. After...

Re: Warning: Path Grabbing
I have tried the save command as you suggested I have noticed that it does not always come up with the option to save, at least on my pc anyway, despite pressing F2 repeatedly. The train still headed up the S&D.

Just a bit extra!
AI CAN'T always go where you ask it to.
CAN go where you DON'T want it to!

Re: How RS can't simulate even basic train movements
I would be happy for a train to run from A-B ....trouble is they seem to run from A-?????? wherever they like!!!!! As for the way you have to set up the destination by flying to it first.....very realistic in the sense that you may as well fly to your destination and not bother using the train....it...

Re: Warning: Path Grabbing
I have tried to run an AI train from Bath to the Bristol portal as SP& EXP and it went up the S&D everytime, I routed my player train to go up the S&D as a special and the AI left first!

AI train set up
I thought I would have a go at setting up an AI train leaving Bath headed for the marker at the end of the line for Bristol, added the driver and instruction to head for Bristol. I watched it depart and head off up the S&D instead.....impressed! :-? Am I missing putting something else in? Also when ...

Re: Dev tools.exe not working?
To gain access to the new tools I had to start RS by going into the RS folder in program files and clicking the icon for RS editor....if I went into the game as normal the extra tools were not available.
Also on installing the tools short cuts were not provided despite the option to allow them.
