Re: TS2012 - New Frame Rate option
I can only confirm that Bristol to Exeter is running very smoothly for me. I ran from BTM to Taunton last night at a constant 40fps (frame rate was capped at 40) with just one drop to 39! You can't beat that for consistency. Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the route in case there is some c...

Agree with this, what hardware does run this simulation as it should be?Retro wrote:The Framerate setting has made little difference to me. It would be really helpful to know just what you need in terms of Hardware to run this game well.
Kind regards James.

Re: Steam: 33% off NEC + NEC-themed megadeal.
I will be leaving this and any other DLC until the core graphics engine/performance is improved. The emphasis should be on getting this improvement otherwise it is pointless, in my opinion, to keep shelling out for mediocre performance addons! Shame I was looking forward to trying this from the US, ...

Re: Train Simulator 2012 (Part 4)
It totally destroys any feel of immersion in the simulation and IMHO eliminating this feature should have been a number one priority when overhauling the graphics. Totally agree with this, no matter what I do with my setup I still get stutter and it needs addressing ASAP because it does spoil the w...

Precisely, frames are now way up using 2 x1 or AA offstyckx wrote:He was referencing the fact that he is gaining framerates now because he doesn't have to use SSAA 2x2 anymore and can drop the slider down to SSAA 1x2 or off and get some decent AA now without a performance hit.

Re: Train Simulator 2012 (Part 3)
Make sure you're only using the files from the dx9 folder and as was mentioned, select no AA or one of the SLAA settings. My FXAA loads automatically and I don't have to hit Shift+pause. You should know its working right away when RW loads (or when you use Shift+Pause). The text will have a slightl...

Re: Train Simulator 2012 (Part 3)
On Horseshoe curve now getting 35 fps where I used to get 13 -graphics great- using FXAA and zero AA on TSX. :D Glad it benifited you and you can enjoy the game now. I like it better than MLAA. I can turn MLAA on via my ATI card and it simply doesn't work as good as FXAA. Also FXAA adds a nice atmo...

Re: What are all those graphics settings ?
It's great that you are taking this on and sorting it for us Kromaatikse, it's an issue that if not sorted will spoil my experience of this simulation and I like many others was hoping that the biggest advantage of RW3 was going be a performance increase as regards stutter and scenery loading. Lets ...

Re: Settings for upgraded Railworks
I agree with this, SSD and 6GB memory, latest CPU/Motherboard and I still get stutter on most routes - even when the controls are reduced and shadows turned off - I am still not happy with performance.

Re: Enabling AWS Warning Sound in External Views
Great advice, thanks very much. Will try this out when I can. I was sure there was some way of doing what appears a logical/required option.
Lets hope this is addressed in the update and presented as an option to easily select.

Re: Help with rubber-banding
There are pages and pages on this subject hidden within this very forum. Abstract? Not much you can do except hope that RW3 solves it (although some rubber banding appeared to still be present in the latest teaser). Yes, above raindrops on windows this aspect of RW really does need sorting...... :c...
