Re: My first attempt NYMR

Hi Jake

Well spotted!
Finger must have hit wrong no - I did mean, of course, a P3  however the LNER P1 was a 2-8-2 Mikado and also NER had a P1 (J25)...
for an oldie like me you can see how easily confusion sets in!
Cheers

Re: Victory Works

Thought this may be of interest? from Wikipedia (edited) "D326 (later 40 126) was the most famous Class 40, but for unfortunate reasons. The engine had an early chequered history, she was classed as a jinxed loco by some railwaymen, with some drivers being reluctant to drive it. In 1963 it was invol...

Hi if you need maps of Reading try National Library of Scotland - they have an extensive collection of maps - I have just typed Reading and found a map showing the Biscuit Factory near Reading Station - looks like it had an extensive set of sidings! I am staggered at the loss of Rail infrastructure ...

How about a short piece of sleeperless track - cover end with weeds?

Re: Senegalese route

A superb route without doubt - a credit to all who contributed. It's so different and watch out for the wild animals! Must mention too there are some excellent downloads on the Russian Train Sim site which will probably be more realistic than US locos/stock? Give it a go - doubt you will be disappoi...

Re: My first attempt NYMR

Hello Andy
Delighted to read you are nearing an Alpha release! Really, really looking forward to riding these rails.
Some nice locos to use with your route already but dare I say a Q6 or P1 would be really nice (just in
case a loco builder reads this thread!)
Best wishes
Tom :)

Re: Burning software for backups

I have back up on a separate HDD only because in the past I have encountered Discs that refuse to "re-play" yet appear
to be totally undamaged. Agree that buying/using good quality reputable brands of CD or DVD is a good idea.
Hope you solve your issue.

Re: Is there a problem with the Making Tracks site?

Just tried this site - up popped a spurious survey and an opportunity to win a prize!
Never click on these - more trouble than they are worth.
Be careful out there.

Hello
Delighted to see you are now sorted and running full steam ahead - not far behind in the age range myself and I do get those grey moments too!
Hope you fulfill your route in time.
Kind regards

Re: Google earth markers changed by 200m overnight

Just read your post - have tried running Goggle on my TS 2016 and all is well - you can move the background "up and down" on screen wondered if that would
alter your marker positions?
Hope you get things sorted.

Re: Colorado Rockies NG route from DTG

This photo may be of interest - shows some of the trackwork! http://www.narrowgauge.org/images/tkcok/m00139.jpg Regards Tom Tbf, if that is the way that point work on the route operated, I don't think out of place sleepers are such a big deal, as that type of junction can't be replicated in game.
