Re: Error when trying to export into Railworks
Hi, You have to specify the shader used in Blender in the Texture Buttons(F6) section. In the Shader(F5)/materials section add a material http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/2141/oney.th.jpg It does not matter what you call this http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/6256/twogq.th.jpg In the Shader/Textu...

Hi Brendan,
There are a good few close up photos of the 071 in this thread on an Irish modeling forum http://irishrailwaymodelling.yuku.com/t ... 010?page=1 which might be of use to you for reference.

Re: Error when trying to export into Railworks
There is more than one way to move a file in Windows, all easy enough, do a google search. You can save your .blend file anywhere you want and i think i'm correct in saying that when you export the .IGS file it follows the .blend file. Put the IA_ExpModFile.txt file where you are saving the .blend f...

Re: Error when trying to export into Railworks
Hi, I use Gimp but i presume Photoshop can save in .TGA format, which i think is what is recommened for use on objects for RW. RWAceTool is the application to convert files into .ACE format, to be found at the bottom of this page http://www.railsimulator.com/support.php under RailWorks Art Plugins. ...

Re: TS2012 Woodhead route released
I tried that today, and got to the end. I dropped off the two banking locos where told, but computer tells me I didn't drop either off, so got a red cross. I'm not sure exactly where you drop them off, because the train length is longer than each destination marker: should the player loco stop on t...

Re: GER E22/LNER J65
On searching the term 'OnDereference' i can only find one thread that might be in any way useful, something to do with coulpers blueprint in that case. http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=314&t=95178&p=1157957&hilit=OnDereference#p1157957 . Not sure if that thread is off any help to you. Do...

Re: GER E22/LNER J65
It should be in a separate window. I always run RW in windows mode, not in full screen, so maybe the logmate window close's with RW. Try running RW in windows mode and you will definitely see the logmate window.
Donal.
Edit; just checked the logmate window is there when i quit out of RW.

Re: GER E22/LNER J65
Hi, Just on the off chance, it sounds like you have, but did you export the simulation blueprint. I ask because i recently done the 'Creating An Engine' tutorial from the RSDev docs and had the very same problem, everything looked ok in the asset editor and i could place it in the scenario editor an...

Re: Error when trying to export into Railworks
Does the Bigex exporter always name the file "untitled"? No, you have to name your object in blender and you have to follow the naming conventions for RW. 1_1000_billboard is an example name for your billboard where 1 is the lod level and 1000 is the distance in metres after which the object disapp...

Re: UV Mapping in Blender
Well thats what i would do. In my limited experience the render in blender can have weird effects on an object sometimes yet when exported to RW the object is ok.

Re: UV Mapping in Blender
The render shows the view of the camera, that might be the back of your sign thats in the render window. Either move the camera or rotate your sign. Shift + P brings up a handy preview render window which you can resize and you can also rotate the whole scene by holding the middle mouse button and m...

Re: UV Mapping in Blender
With your mouse cursor over the 3D window, U on the keyboard brings up the menu with the unwrap options. There is a smart unwrap option with further options to use. However from every thing i've read on these forums you are better off unwraping manually which i think you will have to do for your Cla...
