Re: Everything Steam, part 2
Tornado is visiting Padster Rail metals until next Sunday as part of PR's annual summer steam showcase. A platform-ender at Northaven captures the beast as it pauses in the station with the 'Cornish Riviera Ltd': http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v211/Padster/Tornado1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com...

Re: Update announcement
@Acorncomputer, if there was a "Thank You" button on this site as there is on XDA, you would get my thanks for your positive post on this thread :-) I for one am actually looking forward to joypad support. I'd love to know what they will do with it and how it will improve my ability to control train...

Re: Steam Sale
Glad you liked S and C, we all tried to get it as accurate was we could and that most people seem quite happy with it is gratifying. I really must do some BR scenarios for it sometime. I'm also really happy with the performance. I don't dare to buy Woodhead with my current PC. It would be right my ...

Re: Steam Sale
Despite the numerous 503 errors caused by the huge load, managed to pick up the S&C and the download itself was speedy enough :-) Also picked up some German DLC (E18, German Freight), and after quite some hesitation, the S&C Steam Specials. I haven't had a chance to try everything yet of course, but...

Re: Albula, Switzerland
I find this route great. Only issue is trying to find steam engines powerful enough that DON'T derail on the tight corners! Don't think this route was designed for steam engines, although I did pass a black 5 at a siding. :) Yeah I've seen that black 5 in some scenarios on this route, but really, w...

Re: Trouble running round a train
Hi Ben, Thanks for your advice, I'll look at the scenario again once I have some time, hopefully over the weekend! I haven't had a chance to go at RW3 yet since I posted. I did already put extra markers on the track, tried running the train both the via up and the down mainline, but somehow the poin...

Re: Strange issue with Project Platform
I had this when trying to make some scenarios of my own, on this route. After some movements of trains or cameras, the turntable eventually decided to reappear.
Really weird.
Really weird.

Trouble running round a train
Hi, I'm trying my first scenario, absolute beginner here :-) I'm trying to create a scenario for Phorum Peninsula, where I'm trying to create player instructions to run around the train to the other end. For those who know the route: - I let the player come from the mainland - Drive a full circle ar...

Re: Service Pack 1 - Core Upgrade Programme
Beers too cold? must have been a southerner, they dont know how to drink! Gav The only time the beers too cold, is when it won't pour out the can! I actually honestly prefer my beer lukewarm most of the time, and not cold. And I'm not even English, not even British even. I'm Dutch. Now what d...

Re: Service Pack 1 - Core Upgrade Programme
I still have to make SPACE for a 4GB download first...!
(Quite a bit of stuff that can be moved to other places but a slow network drive means it takes a while).

Re: Service Pack 1 - Core Upgrade Programme
Is the implication here that core updates should not happen because they might have a negative impact on third party additions? :-? well, that certainly wasn't what I was implying - - I think it's a much needed cleanup, a step in the right direction. And because pc struggles with S&D even at lower ...

Re: Service Pack 1 - Core Upgrade Programme
The announced changes all sound great, I'm looking forward to those - but at the same time I'm afraid my very aging system wont be able to cope with any improvement in the graphics! I'm happy when I get 20fps on low-to-medium setting at low resolution, with current quality of graphics, so anything t...

I quite liked also the effect of the wind in the trees and the grass, especially when the ICE train races past!

Re: How many of you drive without any overlays?
I usually drive with the F4 overlay, and find it a huge improvement over the F3 overlay which always was cluttered to me. The main reason why I like it, is because it gives me some handles to pull, which makes it a lot easier to control things like the brakes than keeping keys pressed. Kind of like ...

Re: Withdrawing of Stock by RSC
... To try and steer things back to the purpose of this thread, has anyone who's bemoaning the withdrawal of itens of DLC from Steam dropped RSC an e-mail asking for an explanation? No, I haven't actually sent them an e-mail although I do still consider doing that, but I did ask them via twitter: @...
