That radio always looked to me more advanced than the rest of equipment, switches, etc in the cab. That's why it always felt "out of period" to me, so to say.

But if that was indeed the original cab radio, I'm glad to be corrected!

Actually I often feel that their models of older einheits-loks, in "original state", have equipment in the cab that wasn't originally their such as this panel that looks to be for train radio... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1420824945 I have decided not to let it bother me....

Whistles for the TAB has been release with Victory Works as well. It wasn't an update for the black 5 as its been with the 5 all along :) Yeah I thought it was VW who had that on a couple of their locos but wasn't sure. I think the Raven Q6 has that feature but I'm not sure of earlier of their loco...

You're whistling to the signalman, that's why it whistles on TAB. A couple of other steamers do that too, I believe.
