Re: Also in production by RSC...
I certainly can't get enthused to the same degree or describe a 156 for example as 'hellfire'...but that is where the money is to be made. I certainly agree about being unable to get that worked up about units. I'm not saying that they're rubbish or anything, the 150/2 is a delight for example, but...

Re: Also in production by RSC...
Ah well, I enjoyed the dream while it lasted. I suppose I could just squint a little and pretend like I do on other routes but it not the same. As an aside, while I can understand that modern era is easier to research and create I'm not sure how it can be described as more popular since there isn't ...

Re: Also in production by RSC...
I suspect the appearance of the track is related to the zoom. I've just been having a play around and strangely the more zoomed-in you are the less the SE is apparent. :-? Stick a train on it and I think it'll look very different. Deltics and early HSTs roaring out of Kings Cross - heaven. :D Cheer...

This should be about Finsbury Park or Top Shed locos
Kings Cross Loco, non-corridor Mk1's, Jurasic era DMU's... the stuff of dreams.
The WIP shot appears to lack super-elevation. Would this normally be added after the tracklaying?

Re: Station sign
So far as I'm aware it's an indicator used at major stations and/or locations where platform staff involved in the dispatch of trains may be unable to see the signal, the "OFF" referring to the state of the signal in question. The actual working of the indicators can vary from place to place. I coul...

Re: TS 2014 forum on steam deleted
I would dip into that forum now and again, mostly to try and find anything useful in the way of user reviews and comment on new DLC. I was struck by two things. The level of puerile illiteracy, and the almost total lack of any input or moderation by RSC. It could be argued of course that the former ...

Re: AI failures
I agree with the above posts regarding the "kid glove" treatment of the AI required to get it to work properly. Have to say that, if anything, I'm finding the dispatcher more, rather than less, co-operative since the TS2014 upgrade. Now I'm happy to accept that this may simply be a placebo effect, t...

Re: Basic and silly question
Open TS Utilities. It can be found in "Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks". Go to the Packager tab. Press the Refresh button (and, if your system's anything like mine go put the kettle on!). In the left hand window expand the routes. Expand the route your scenario uses. Expand the ...

Re: Scottish East Coast Main Line
If they impact your enjoyment that much I suppose you could edit the route and delete the sounddomes. Sounds like a lot of bother just to play a couple of scenarios. Half the fun's to be had in creating them anyway so I've banked that already. Can only say I'm glad the 'local flavour' idea never ca...

Re: Scottish East Coast Main Line
I don't suppose any of these patches have silenced the bagpipes at Perth by any chance? Having just completed Snacktime Scenario no. 40 (UKTS File 31783) I can confirm that the bagpipes are still very much alive and well in Perth! Excellent scenario by the way. Peter Thanks. Pity. I did a couple of...

Re: You just can't get the people these days!
I think that 'Passenger Density' option was removed from the settings in TS2013, but the option still shows in ..\RailWorks\Content\PlayerProfiles.bin No idea how far you can alter <DetailPassengerCharacters d:type="sInt32">2</DetailPassengerCharacters> but a lot of the other options seem to have a...

Re: You just can't get the people these days!
Didn't there used to be an option in the main graphics settings menu for adjusting the density of passengers?
I'd settle for having that facility restored but wouldn't mind having the option of turning passengers off altogether, which would be especially useful for night time scenario's.

Re: Workshop scenarios strange filenames
I'm a little confused as to what you're actually doing. I thought the OP was simply asking why the workshop has started listing the GUID's in the "Tags" section rather than the straightforward name of the DLC. For example the latest workshop scenario "Vinnhorst Port Shunter" lists the following tag...

Re: RS Stutter returns......
stuttering! I've noticed this myself, on any route that I've ran since the update. While it's not rendered any of them unplayable it ranges from just noticeable through to seriously distracting. If memory serves there have been similar type of issues with just about every major update and they have...
