Re: Missing Files
Missing files for Assets should not cause SBHH problems. If RailWorks is missing assets (apart from interactive objects/animated objects/rolling stock) it just puts a milk-churn where the asset should be standing and goes on its happy way. Mike Half correct!!!! Missing scenery SHOULD not cause SBHH...

Re: Northern Europe Route - Help!
Northern Europe requires a lot of resources than any other freeware routes. But 4G HW memory is enough to run it. Old RW version required 4GB patch to run Northern Europe. Now, I seems that RW2 is already 4GB patched. Assets: Example track : - search the post about "Soo line" - it was posted 2~3 day...

Re: AI train capabilities
For AI train, Cab view has little meaning. Inside cab, there is nothing one can do. Because train is driven by AI. I think, for this reason, RSC did not implemented Cab view for AI. But, if someone want to go into Cab, there is a way. Click the AI train. Then it becomes Player Train. And you have ev...

Re: Oxford-Paddington route disappeared + Seeberg Bahn
After a couple of hangs, I ran a verify game cache - just to be sure - no prb found, but when I restarted RW2, Oxford-Paddington route had gone from the route list. For the same reason: no RouteProperties.xml! Replacing it seem to help, but ... What, when, where and why gets this file deleted? Stea...

Re: Oxford-Paddington route disappeared
What I did notice was that the Route Properties XML had vanished so that will be why it wasn't showing up. Everybody knows RouteProperties.XML had vanished. But Nobody knows who had deleted RouteProperties.XML. I am Just telling my story. If I have confronted this kind problem, then I will not be s...

"Drive by Train" for Old and Freeware Routes
RW2 has "Drive by Train" Menu, and new coming routes fill this menu with trains runnung on those routes. However................ Don't you want to add your locos (freeware locos and repainted locos..) from your routes (existing freeware routes) to this Menu. That is very easy. Try a few steps, then ...

Re: RS Route Transfer to Railworks
if he finds using RW_Tools a problem then manually editing files is certainly going to be tough! Yes! I also wish he convert route with RW_tools. It is really easy thing if the RS contents is perfect - just setting RS RW path and 2 clicking. So I am having a question why he failed and it makes me t...

Re: RS Route Transfer to Railworks
Hi Mike, RW_tools can convert Perfect RS routes to RW routes. But unfornately, Most european RS routes are not complete in their contents. Most common case is missing some scenario information. It is not a RW_tools Bug. My point is if RW_tools fails to convert RS route to RW route. Manual conversion...

Re: RS Route Transfer to Railworks
Some windows editor, for example Notepad, are not friendly with RW. And conversion from RS to RW requires a lot of line editing jobs. I think VI editor is the best editor for this kind of job. If you are know about VI editor, it will take 2 minutes. But with another editor, it may takes more than 10...

Re: RS Route Transfer to Railworks
The best way to convert RS route to RW is doing by hand. RW_tools can not convert many routes and fails. I tryed many freeware routes from france and italy and spain germany. They are beautiful but most of them are written for RS many years ago. And converting with RW_tools, in alll cases, end with ...
