Re: First Great Western Warned

The government has a cheek!!

Blame DaFT for the problem! They are the ones telling FGW to move its stock around.

91124 Loses Pantograph

Just in case you wondered what the disruption on the ECML was today...... This afternoon, 91124 while working the 14:10 KX - Leeds service, got its pantograph tangled in the wires at Biggleswade, and it subsequently was ripped off the roof of the loco!! The train was rescued by 67023 and 67024, then...

Re: PLEASE READ FIRST if you have a Dorset Coast Route Problem

Please ignore my last post.

It seems an activity I made included a corrupt path, this was crashing the sim if that path was used for traffic or the player service.

Sorry!

Re: PLEASE READ FIRST if you have a Dorset Coast Route Problem

Upon loading the activity, the cab appears for half a second, then I get the screen of death, this happens on all the activities i'm curre...

MT: Great Eastern - Wow!

After receiving the Great Eastern route in the post last week, I finally installed it tonight, and I must say, "WOW!!". This has got to be the best payware route I have ever driven 8) Already played a couple of the activities that came with it, and I have to say, great job to Making Tracks. May have...

Re: Driver Shifts

Most diagrams are planned with a maximum driving time of 5hrs to avoid problems with delays. This would give half an hour booking on and preparation, 5hr driving out, 1 hour break, 5hrs back and book off. The break can be shorter but would include an allowance for late running. Sums it up pretty mu...

Re: Driver Shifts

12 hours maximum per shift for Drivers and Guards at TPE (well, all TOC's really). Usual shift length at TPE is between 5 hrs and 11 hrs. At TPE, the max driving time without a break is 6 hours, the max Guard duty time without a break is also 6hrs. At night, shifts are generally no longer than 8 hou...

Re: Confusing Stuff On Tickets??

Yes, and replaced with the new, flimsy, smearable ticket stock! It may feel harder then APTIS stock but has a nice tendency to break up after a few times through ticket barriers, and sometimes it can be horrendous coming out of the Avantix machines and missing half the ticket off. Yes, especially i...

Re: Class 142

Out of interest do you know if it's because they are approaching a 10 year re-frubishment, a lack of maintenance or just poor build quality? The units, basically IMO, are poorly built!! (The 'next gen' 170's are alot better we are told) Lack of maintenance is definately a non issue, the units are a...

Re: Class 142

The ride quality on older track is nowhere near as comfortable, the extra weight of the diesel Desiro units is a significant contributor to this. Take the section between Huddersfield and Dewsbury, this section throws people around. I've also heard the train conductor and a could of old guys bashin...
