Worked a treat Jimmy. :) Mick - finally finished, almost everything complete. But alas! I made a very important passenger very unhappy! The evaluation notes are worth a read - but I won't spoil it for anyone yet to make it. Well done Mick, that's definitely the most entertaining activity I've played...

Mick, Thanks for replying. I made all the changes as per the readme file (I learnt my lesson with readmes a long time ago :) ). I can couple up OK, but getting the wagons moving proves impossible. I tried creeping up at 1mph, ramming them at 4mph and everythng in between, but the beggars just won't ...

Mick, Mike (Optrex) - good luck with the re-install; it may well be an installation problem if Route Riter / ConBuilder / Activity Analysis don't spot anything. I do hope it ain't my activity!!! (joking aside, I'd think it would be unlikely that an activity could do that, unless there's stock or an...

Simon,

It's passed Route-Riter, Conbuilder etc. My problem isn't that it won't load, but that there's a 50/50 chance of it dying after an information message is displayed.

I think I'll try a re-install, there's some deeper, underlying confusion in my setup, methinks!

I got it all installed and working - but for some reason, MSTS crashes with the Send/Don't send error after most of the messages. :( I don't think it's the activity's fault (I can't imagine how!) so it must be something with my set-up. Latest GEforce video drivers installed, everything else works fi...

Another Irish DEV on the way!

Just noticed an update on the news page at http://www.video125.co.uk, covering the launch of the Rosslare-Dublin programme at Connolly Station recently: "...we have accepted Irish Rail's invite to go back next summer when the trees are green to film the Dublin to Sligo line. Once again a particularl...

I can't wait for the big GM - at least sounds for that shouldn't be a problem!

So has anyone else bought this? The DVD was superb, perhaps one of the best DEVs of all time from Video 125, I can heartily recommend this to any fan of the Irish scene. Compared to the 'mainland' cab rides they produce, the big 071 GM seems to be flying along at 70mph, the sense of speed is quite s...

Re: All quiet on the home front!

It is indeed very quiet round here... Maybe people are beavering away making new virtual toys for us? Whats your favourite thing on the NIR or CIE network? [/b] I used to love sitting in the seating bay behind the driver's cab on an 80-class driving trailer on a warm summer's afternoon. The dropligh...

I'm with Eclipse http://www.eclipse.net.uk - it's approx £23 a month for 512Mb on their 'lite' scheme, it's unlimited, fast as bedamned. News server's a bit sucky, but then you can get an account with someone like http://www.claranews.com for a few washers. A no frills service that suits techies do...

Doesn't happen on any of the TFTs I have or have used, and I've used a few.

And let's not forget the most important thing:

They look dead cool. :)

I currently have a laptop at work and the TFT screen is making my eyes ache - I've used a TFT monitor in a previous job and had the same effects - They just don't seem as bright as CRT's. We've recently gone 100% flatscreen at work - and headaches have gone down considerably! Make sure it's a decen...

Rosslare - Dublin Driver's Eye View

Video 125 are releasing their first Irish Driver's Eye View tape/DVD, Rosslare-Dublin. The DVD will be another three weeks or so, but I think the VHS tape is available either this week or next week.

More info:

I for one can't wait. :)
