Re: Railworks 2

I have done what was said but it still does not work. My first thought is, can you try verifying game cache again, then run RW straight away (don't delete anything) and post details (e.g. a screenshot) of what happens next? You may find that Ctrl-S doesn't work - try Shift-"Prt-Scr" and then paste ...

Re: Railworks 2

In the Steam window, go to the library list that shows your games. Right click Railworks and select Properties. In the dialog find the Verify Game cache button and click it.

That should restore things bought (incl free) from Steam.

You could vote for Diesel too (assuming you only selected one so far)!

Re: Poll: What Motive Power / Era combinations do you like best?

I was trying to select eras that weren't particularly uk-centric, though I'm no expert! Selecting 1923 would have been so UK!

Kariban, I like the Victorian trains too, though I ended up voting for the mid-steam era.

Thanks for all those voting...

I admit I find it strange that peeps tend to go only for "some time they remember"... is that really it?

Re: using a real map as a template for railworks......

Firstly, RWDecal is not the only way to get this done. However, it is by a long way the easiest and most accurate way! RWDecal will enable you to use imagery from Google Earth (which you also need to install) as decals (ground-hugging square pictures) in your route. Place the decals and you can see ...

Poll: What Motive Power / Era combinations do you like best?

I thought it might be interesting to see what people on this group like in terms of steam/diesel, era etc. Esp in regard to the recent showcase. You can select one, or two of the options. Please don't indicate all the things you might, just possibly, run on some wet Sunday: it's most interesting if ...

Re: Google Earth and Railworks Routes

Hi Phil,

Just a thought: have you or anyone else compiled a list of existing routes that aren't in your file? If so it might be helpful to post such a list here: peeps who have a moment might be kind enough to make the kml...

Re: Question and Answer session with RailSimulator.com

Paul, First, thanks for these answers... very useful and interesting. A. Backwards compatibility is always a major consideration ... you haven’t done any fiddling around under the hood, then you should be in good shape and need to make minimal, if any, changes. But we think that many of you will wan...

Re: Blender IA/IGS Exporter 2.1 released

Is there an intention to move BigEx to the new stable version - 2.57? Here's Henning's last post on the subject, http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=312&t=107469&p=1368247&hilit#p1368247 This was in December last year though. I was asking partly because the blender team are describing 2.57...

Re: Blender IA/IGS Exporter 2.1 released

Bigex release version 2.1.62 is broken for Blender 2.48 and Python 2.5.x, but its fixed already in the (unreleased) developer version 2.1.63. Is there an intention to move BigEx to the new stable version - 2.57? I am a newbie to 3d, though I have some 3d (e.g. Illustrator) experience, and thinking ...

Re: RailSimulator.com Spring-Summer Showcase 2011‏

The one that would really, really sell it for me would be a complete rendering of the S&D. No more of this "stopping at Templecombe" lark... Pipe dream? I was wondering if the core could be improved by judicous improvements to the assets on S&D, L-P etc. For example, improve the realism of t...

Re: Your Opinions re RailWorks forum layout ?

Generally, I'm pretty happy about the forums themselves. I can see the point of consolidating some of the item creation forums - bring physics and rolling stock together, for example. The main thing I'd like changed is that "View new posts", "View unanswered posts" and "View active topics" all appli...
